Always a good event to make the effort to attend was the Epsom Derby, in the later 70's and early 80's I made a few trips down to London to travel out to the Epsom Downs to get a few photos of attending buses including this Eastbourne, Leyland PD2.

This is in fact the very first Dash 8-prototype, but converted to Series -300-standard in May 1987
The aircraft was finally scrapped at Van Nuys/Ca in 1990
What a shame - the first Dash 8 is not in a museum!

This airframe (C-FODH) was built in 1952 and was originally delivered on December 29, 1952 for Air Fecteau. This classic plane is still in service. For those who may not know, Harbour Air is based in Richmond, British Columbia. They have a collection of older floatplanes.
DHC & the Harp-Breakers! 9 Intrepid harpists from the Seattle-Tacoma area make a cameo appearance as the "Harp-Breakers" when electric harpist Deborah Henson-Conant appears as featured soloist with the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra Sun. Mar. 27, 2011 at 2:30 PM at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma, WA
