On Sunday I joined a perception photo walk by master Jerry Downs at the De Young Museum located in the Golden Gate Park of San Francisco. We walked in the garden of the museum. James Turrell created an artwork called Three Gems. You walk through a small tunnel, exit in front of a small round dome, walk around it between high walls. I love the shades of red and round shadow.
I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them, and carefully pulled the curves to pop the scene.

This is a very fine example of a wearing blanket that was widely traded out to Plains tribes in the Western US. Donated to the De Young by the Thomas Weisel family, who also gave the de Young their great Mimbres pottery collection.
