Ik heb deze foto gemaakt en gekozen om verschillende redenen. De ene hand geeft een persoon weer die hulp vraagt aan de hulpverlener, in dit geval de sociaal werker. Sociaal werkers zijn er voor iedereen en willen iedereen helpen. De handen raken elkaar net niet hiermee wil ik aantonen dat de grens om hulp te vragen soms nog te groot is en dat dit niet lukt, de taboe errond is nog te groot. De handen reiken dus wel naar elkaar omdat ze elkaar nodig hebben om hun problemen op te lossen. De zwart-witte kleur weerspiegelt dan weer die problematiek en negativiteit die de hulpvrager met zich meer draagt. Kortom sociaal werkers helpen de mensen maar zij moeten zelf de stap zetten ander raken de handen elkaar nooit en zullen ze niet geholpen kunnen worden.
