The smell of dew on a spring morning

Had a wonderful walk in the early morning. It was amazing!

Every autumn I lose the light, and without light there's no photography. Damp, dark days merge together and form a breeding ground for depression to set in. Not to worry, I think I'm getting over it now.

It was a lovely dewy morning first thing.

I spotted this arrangement of dew on a dandelion clock whilst out walking in our local nature reserve.

Webs and dew in the early morning on local heathland recently.

An emerald damselfly very early morning a few weeks back. Was great to watch it wake up with the first of the sun and start to drink the dew on its legs. Damsel and dragonfly season is almost over and I barely have any of them this year! I have to find the time next year. Hope you all had a good weekend :)

Thank you for your comments & fav.!

Walking out to the barn this morning the dew drops were sparkling like diamonds, so I took a closer look.

Always a delight to see the first flowers of spring. Early in the morning these had just a hint of dew which sparkled in the sun.

I couldn't sleep though it was late last night,

and there's no photos without the light,

so I made my own and it feels quite right.

String of pearls - More shots from a morning walk in the dunes. The dew on the grass and especially the spiders webs was magical.

We had several days fog in the `north of The Netherlands. The dewdrops stay all day on this beautiful grass.

Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.

A glorious blazing red with pale yellow throats and rich brown pollen. Beautiful!

Numbering over 300 species, vireyas can be found growing across much of S.E. Asia, principally in New Guinea, Borneo, Sulawesi, Sumatra and the Philippines. Although these are tropical regions, vireyas mostly grow in cool mountainous areas as epiphytes high in the tall trees of the cloud forest or in more open ground in shrubberies. Here the climate is more temperate and this makes the vireya ideal for wider cultivation across the world.
