At the base of Devil's Tower, in Wyoming, there was a deer that wasn't scared of any of the visitors and hung around the trail for some time.

Man, no wonder this was used as a landmark for pioneers heading west. You can see it from miles away.

Sign we somehow missed at the base of the west face detailing the climbing closure due to peregrine falcon nesting. We had taken an alternative route up that did not pass this sign, otherwise we would not have climbed.
