Les Devils Marbles se présentent sous la forme d'énormes rochers de granit arrondis, éparpillés à travers une vaste vallée peu profonde, à 100 kilomètres au sud de Tennant Creek dans le Territoire du Nord.

When I lived in Seattle and would visit home in the 90's, or would visit Seattle from my hometown, many times I would stop at Devils Tower and do the loop hike around Devils Tower. On this trip I was on my way to visit Seattle, WA.

Finally after about two years I got my Nikon snanner to start working again. More coming.

Devil’s Corner is home to some of the region’s best wine and food experiences, 360-degree views, and all four seasons in one day.

... yes, so they are being called in recent times. But the mountains name is Okshornan (Bull Horns)

Have posted a similar picture earlier, but I like this one better. (best on black)

I have driven past this tree on the way to Princetown from Yelverton countless times. Its down in a dip and on the edge of a marsh. I have always thought theres a photo there and this is my effort taken on a dull and flat day.

It's been a while since I posted anything (or for that matter even been on Flickr).... just a crazy week, and to be honest I've been in a little bit of a creative funk when it comes to studio stuff. So, I decided tonight to redo an old favourite with a new twist..... the new twist didn't work out the way that I wanted, so we're pretty much left with a carbon copy of the original.... which is OK, I've wanted to try to recreate this shot for a while now.

I probably won't be around much for the next week or two, but hopefully when I'm done this break I'll have some killer vacation shots. ;)

With the mythical "Devil's Wall" (Teufelsmauer) standing proud in the landscape beyond, HSB 99 7243-1 drifts down the grade near Quarmbeck working service train 8962 09.59 Gernrode to Quedlinburg on 3rd March 2026. They call this pool the Devil's Bath, located in Wai-O-Tapu in New Zealand. The color is the result of water mixing with sulphur and ferrous salts. The color changes quite a bit depending on the reflected light and cloud color. I really liked how it photographed with these menacing clouds.

Suria agreed to be photographed in this devil costume one more time just for Red Golden. Not quite as foul looking this time. (See the earlier photo below). She must be mellowing.

We call this little one devil bird, not just for the obvious reason of those two little horns sticking out of her head, but also because she is a real stinker. We can always tell she is here by her constant flapping and yapping. She will chase any other bird around until they feed her, even though she is quite capable of feeding herself. They try to run from her, but she just stalks them. Some of them will even knock her off her perch to get away from her. It is so funny, the kids will come and say "Mamaw , devil bird is back".

It gives a whole new meaning to damn hell bathroom.

I am preparing to say goodbye to my tub. Sob.

Passing vehicles illuminated arrowweed as we shot the Milky Way. Death Valley is such an inhospitable place that early explorers named many features after the devil. These approximately 6-foot-tall clumps of arrowweed were perhaps mistaken in the shimmering heat for corn shocks left to dry after harvest and thus the area was named the Devil's Cornfield. The incessant wind blows the sand away from the root of the arrowweed, leaving the plant on a pedestal of roots and dirt. The native Americans used the stems of the plant for arrows result in the name of arrowweed.

The Devil's Pulpit can be found in Finnich Glen which is within the loch Lomond and Trossachs national park.

Things are a little easier with my daughter at the moment and thank you for all your kind wishes. I hope to start catching up with you all very soon.

Yesterday I had the chance to go out to the Devil's Dyke near Brighton. The 300 ft deep V shaped valley in the South Downs was caused by melting snow waters forming rivers after the last ice age and it makes for an impressive sight and invigorating walking. If you look very carefully, you may see some of the dog walkers at the bottom of the valley.

The piece of concrete to the right is the remains of some long forgotten building, parts of which can be found scattered down the slopes and in the valley itself.

Garganta del Diablo or Devils Throat. Its the main part of the falls. It creates an absurd amount of spray and falls a few hundred metres below.

The Argentinian side of the falls is said that you 'feel' it more. I would probably agree with that. The amount of spray and thunderous roar you get is astounding.

This was perhaps one of the hardest things to shoot this day. The amount of spray (you can see it on the left) was being blown over to the viewing platform. Thus making it a game of 'cat and mouse' protecting the camera and filters.

I was however lucky to snap this little beauty. Right before the park shut. A successful day.

Carnock Burn, Finnich Glen.

Getting here meant walking up the river which was very cold. Luckily feet warmed up after a couple of minutes.

The route of the A3 London to Portsmouth trunk road can be seen below, now returned to grass. The road now is taken by tunnel under the hills.

The Devil thumb or Jodah thumb rock is about 140km from Dammam near the old town of Judah. The area consists of very interesting rock formations and gravel terrain and is a good place for off-road camping. Clicked while driving, good for me, there was no traffic :)

Sunrise at the Devils Jaw, Senja, Arctic Norway. Didnt quite get the light we hoped for that morning but I did like the reflections in this little pool.

Thanks for all your comments and favs....much appreciated.

Seaford & District Dennis Trident SFZ 404 at Devils Dyke operating on service 77 having just completed its first trip. This bus was new to Brighton & Hove as T819 RFG. Back during it's B&H days this bus operated a lot on the 77 so it was great to be able to have it on this route.

Aug. 7, 2022: The stern of the pirate ship "Devil's Gauntlet" in Ventura Harbor, Ventura, California. The tall ship, built in 1968, faced dismantling in 2018 when Daniel "Pirate Dan" Blevins Catalano purchased the vessel for one dollar. He completely rebuilt the tall ship. This summer, the "Devil's Gauntlet" is in Ventura Harbor, but there is no indication of public tours. 206/365
