Tasmanian devil (Sarcophilus harrisii), the world's largest living carnivorous marsupial native exclusively to the island state of Tasmania, Australia.
Since 1996, a rare, contagious, and fatal cancer has devastated the population, causing an 80% decline in sightings. While they became extinct on mainland Australia roughly 3,000 years ago, conservation groups like Aussie Ark began reintroducing healthy devils to a sanctuary in New South Wales in 2020 to create an "insurance population".
Two Tasmanian Devils live at the San Diego Zoo.

Finnich Glen (The Devils Pulpit) is found near the village of Killearn approximately 30mins north from Glasgow .
The Devil's Pulpit, located in Drymen, Scotland, was the ancient meeting ground of local Druids and Covenanters. The Druids were said to have held court with the Devil here, giving the location its name
It also became famous as it was used in filming of the 2011 movie "The Eagle" where they shot the penultimate battle scene

Devils Tower (also known as Bear Lodge) is a butte, possibly laccolithic, composed of igneous rock in the Bear Lodge Ranger District of the Black Hills, near Hulett and Sundance in Crook County, northeastern Wyoming, above the Belle Fourche River. It rises 1,267 feet (386 m) above the Belle Fourche River, standing 867 feet (264 m) from summit to base. The summit is 5,112 feet (1,558 m) above sea level. (9/28/2024)
Before DPU was introduced, UP was known for very long locomotive consists. Nowadays such configurations became rare, but they are still possible. A nice 5x consist lead by AC4400 #6391 passed Devils Slide. With GP38 #531 even a standard cab unit was part of the story, unfortunately only in position five.
Devil's Hole is a box canyon in Las Trampas Regional Park. 6.5 Mile loop. 1,200ft elevation gain.
Take Rocky Ridge View Trail up the hill, go down the backside on Sycamore View trail. You will be rewarded with amazing views. Coming back on Devils Hole, we just climbed out of the canyon in this image.

Three Tasmanian Devils making short work of wallaby road kill at Trowunna Wildlife Park in Tasmania. They're noisy eaters and it's every devil for himself; wonderful to see.
BNSF 9039 leads a manifest down the Marshall Subdivision at Garretson, South Dakota and crossing a scenic spot over Devil's Gulch, the famed creek where Jesse James coaxed his horse to jump over the gap cut through quartzite while escaping the robbery in Northfield, Minnesota. The Great Northern similarly jumped over the Devil's Gulch with a clear view of the Split Rock River as seen below in the background.
Praise be to the Dark Lord for creating places like this... otherwise we humans would have nowhere to escape our nastiness.

A Tasmanian Devil sits on a rock relaxing on a wet raining day at the Devils @ Cradle sanctuary at Cradle Mountain Tasmania. The sanctuary is a breeding and conservation facility for Tasmania's three unique threatened carnivorous marsupials; the Tasmanian devil, Spotted-tailed quoll, and Eastern quoll. The greatest threat to devils across Tasmania is the Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD), that has killed 80% of the population.
