i forgot to mention that i got back some of the film from my argus! out of 12 exposures, i had 6 images come out, so that's not too shabby. especially since the camera hasn't been used in about 30 years. and it was exciting sending off my film and then waiting two weeks for it to come back....like christmas almost.
anyways, i intended to get these scanned onto a cd soon but seeing as how it's only 6 images, i might wait until i get a couple more rolls developed. but i wanted you to see them!

This ferry at Kazungula across the Chobe River goes from Botswana into Zambia and is the only way across. It can carry one truck at a time...one. There was a line of about one hundred huge vehicles waiting for their turn to go across the day we were there. Once the truck is loaded, they load people on board without vehicles, which is why we didn't have to wait to cross. The guide said many trucks wait five days or longer to cross. As you can imagine, there are arguments about place in line and other things as they all wait. To get a soft drink of any kind, you must go to Zambia. The guide says many people cross on the ferry to get goods like soft drinks that are unavailable in Botswana.

The Kuttanad system is a complex mosaic of fragmented agricultural landscapes divided in three structures: wetlands used for paddy activities and fish catching, garden lands used for coconut, tubers and food crops plantation and water areas used as inland fishing and shells. Wetlands are created thanks to the construction of polders with bunds and its dewatering.
