One of the first shots I've taken with the Rollei 35 - I had a few teething issues getting used to the camera and then some issues developing the film, however some images were good to go. I'm sure my next shoot after my test roll will go a lot more smoothly!

Scanned the negs with my shit printer and made them into positives.

Test

For the love of color.

To be able to look at an ordinary scene and see the beauty in its structure and inherent design.

I’m still chasing Stephen Shore and the transparency and 2D flatness of space.

In this case I forced myself to choose only one angle in which to shoot this station. Now, Stephen Shore was forced by the fact he was using 8x10 color negatives which cost a lot to develop and print. In my case I wanted to follow that rule. And here it is. Thanks

Snow Bunting:-

These are large buntings, with striking `snowy' plumages. Males in summer have all white heads and underparts contrasting with a black mantle and wing tips. Females are a more mottled above. In autumn and winter birds develop a sandy/buff wash to their plumage and males have more mottled upperparts. Globally they breed around the arctic from Scandinavia to Alaska, Canada and Greenland and migrate south in winter. They are a scarce breeding species in the UK, in Scotland, making tham an Amber List species. They are more widespread in winter in the north and east when residents are joined by continental birds.

This storm wasn't the big one that was predicted for our area. We ended up with about 3" of snow - enough to blanket the landscape and evoke some winter magic.

Photographed with an Olympus OM-1 using an F. Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 lens. The film is Kodak Spectrum Analysis film 5367, no.1 expired 4/1981. This shot was a long exposure for 2 minutes at f/2.8. It came out as a negative but you can see where some of the well lit branches in the background are being solarized. The film was developed in Kodak HC-110 dilution F for 10 minutes with Benzotriazole used as an anti-fogging agent.
