With the thaw, autumn re-emerges...

I submitted a couple of photographs in October signifying the beginning of Autumn, and here we are at the end.

Another covid "walk-about" image...

Inspired by Edward Weston's abstract oceanic detritus work.

Made a fleeting visit to my basement "studio" this morning...

Thanks to Paul for his tintype edge and scratches.

It’s a typical British summer with crazy weather, especially for Crazy Tuesday, it would seem. A really heavy downpour washed all sorts of decaying old leaves, seeds and general rubbish along with the flow of rainwater over the paving stones, as it searched for the lowest points and eventually to drain away. This collection of bits ‘n pieces of detritus collected in one depression, just waiting for me to notice and record it for posterity!

For the group ‘Crazy Tuesday’, theme ‘Within a 5 minutes walk’.

I know sort of where this shot was taken. According to photos on either side of it in the folder, I had been across the street from the car dealer, walking around the grounds of the Nativo hotel.

I'm guessing I had been waiting for the car's service to be completed. And I've never been able to resist textures and light like this.

The photos shot the next day and the day after that have me wondering how it was that I'd had the week off from work. I hadn't yet retired in 2016, but there I was on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday roaming around shooting photos.

From my series of photographs of the beaches, piers, sky, waves, driftwood, and footprints in the sand along the Atlantic ocean in Florida...from my set: "The Ocean Atlantic." I have tried to bring a fresh perspective to beach and ocean photographs. I hope you enjoy my efforts.

When I find loose book pages, I like to try to find out what book they came from. This is "A Kind of Magic, an Autobiography" by Edna Ferber (1963)
