Perhaps one of Germanys most famous statues stands on guard at the convergence of the mighty Mosel and Rhein rivers the Deutsches Eck (German Corner).
The Statue is a typical Prussian martial style equestrian statue of William I, the first German Emperor it was created in 1897 in gratitude after his death for being the Father of the modern Empire and the unification of Germany.
During WWII it was mistakenly destroyed by artillery when they mistook it for enemy troops and it remained just a plinth until 2 September 1993 when sculptor Raymond Kittl finished producing an improved replica created from bronze plates this time around instead of copper.

Disclaimer: Not trying to be realistic in my editing there is enough realism in the world, my style is a mix of painterly and romanticism as well as a work in progress.

It is a ruined 18th century Armenian church in the Avlabar district of Old Tbilisi, Georgia.
According to Armenian sources, on April 13, 1989, the church was "blown up" or "destroyed". Georgian officials deny that it was blown up, and ascribed its destruction to the intensity of an earthquake that had struck Tbilisi a day before.

Church was last rebuilt in the 20th century, destroyed in 1935. Reproduced in 1997-1998.

Церкву Успіння Пресвятої Богородиці (Пирогоща) збудовано на столичному Подолі в 1132-1136 роках. Церква Успіння Богородиці Пирогощі була першою будівлею в Києві, збудованою повністю з цегли. Під час монголо-татарської навали її було зруйновано, але потім відбудовано знову.
У XVII-XIX ст. церква перебудовувалась у стилях ренесансу, бароко та ампіру. Була знищена більшовиками у 1935 році. Дослідження, проведені перед руйнуванням, встановили, що церква зберегла більшу частину своєї первісної будівлі, незважаючи на численні перебудови та руйнування.
Фраза "Игорь едет по Боричеву к святей Богородици Пирогощей" давно привертала до себе увагу відомих дослідників міста Києва. Зокрема, Б. Рибаков вважає, що князь Ігор після втечі з половецького полону їхав з Києва (де просив про допомогу у великого київського князя) до себе в Сіверську землю [54, с 293]. Із Верхнього міста він з`їхав по Боричевому узвозу на Поділ, і далі, повз церкву Пирогощої, поїхав тим шляхом, яким їздили з Києва до Чернігово-Сіверського Лівобережжя. Хронологічний розрахунок показує, що Ігор від`їжджав з Києва у середині серпня 1185 р. [55, с 111]. А 15 серпня - Госпожий день Успіння Богородиці - храмове престольне свято Пирогощої.

This ship ran aground on a sand bar on Goswick beach, just north of Holy Island, on 14th January 1913, whilst carrying ballast from Stettin (part of Germany at the time, but now the city of Szcezecin, Poland) to Newcastle. Earlier info. was that she was reputed to have been scuppered following reports that she was on route to supply her cargo of iron ore to German factories which had been building up in their preparations for the start of World War 1. All 17 crew members were saved.

The Qutb complex is considered to be the first foundation of Delhi. On the ruins of Delhi's first mosque - built after the Muslim conquest of the city (around 1200).
The portico of the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque framing the courtyard consists of columns/pillars from destroyed Hindu and Jain temples.
