This desktop was created using the Metal Wallpaper Clock. The clock in the background actually works. I happened to run into this site while looking for new applications for the Mac. This isn't new, but it caught my interest for background designs to use with GeekTool. They have many free wallpaper clocks to choose from and a few for members only. Here is the link to their site: www.vladstudio.com/wallpaperclock/ I used GeekTool for the Quote of the Day and This Day in History. You can get these codes from my web site at applevie.ws under Mac User Tools. The font used is Kraken Thin font that you can get here: twiggy8520.deviantart.com/art/K-R-A-K-E-N-B-E-T-A-110796306.
Created most of this using Geektool and various scripts.
Any suggestions and comments welcome!!
Eventually I'll create one where the background image plays a larger part but, well i don't have too much time for that right now. This is a good start though i think.
Please let me know of anyways you think I could improve this or things I should add to make it more useful. thanks!
I'm glad to share any scripts that you see here. just let me know!

Yes, the big clock works, but unfortunately I still have some problems with it. Hour and Minute hands are not running centered around middlepoint, and surely the clock was meant to be running backwards. So 'Ill need some time to fix and adjust this with the help of Rainmeter forums. Leave a comment if you're interested to have this clock running with the wallpaper.
Please visit my little german blog for more details.

Minimalistic at best:

This is my work computer! That's how we roll!!
Again, using Rainmeter and Rocketdock to customize my home Win 7 Pro Desktop...
I run one monitor in portrait and the other in landscape - I find it gives me a lot of flexibility in regards to my workspace
For the SuperMac design, we decided to go with a cityscape background and used PhotoShop to create an alley with rundown, broken PC’s. And the Mac to the rescue. The tools we used to create this look was PhotoShop (for the design), GeekTool, Magnifique (Titanium), and the Moon Phase II Yahoo Widget.
The fonts used are as follows (they can be found at www.dafont.com):
Amsterdam Graffiti for CPU, Uptime and RAM
Graffonti Atomic Bomb for the Day of Week and Day of Month
Graffonti 3d Drop for the Month and Year
For GeekTool commands and free download of the background, please visit applevie.ws
This desktop is completely custom-made. The wallpaper was made to inspire creativity and reflect drive. the icons were also custom-made (195 app. icons total), and the dock was made to match the background as well The Docs and Dowld stacks are by henftling at henftling.deviantart.com/art/Blob-inspired-stacks-123090388 and are available to download.
This desktop was my husbands creation. He wanted to create something different (hence think differently) by using animal prints and other odd items to the background. I used DragThing to make my frequently used folders on the bottom right and ecoute for playing music without having to open iTunes. For the calendar, I simply tweaked DateLine. Check out this and more desktops at applevie.ws and Enjoy!
So I played around with my desktop some more today and re-arranged the layout of my geektool scripts. Just made it more organized and clean.
I still have room at the bottom for for system information but am not sure what else I want to display.
Would love to hear thoughts on how I can improve this desktop. Thanks!
most of these scripts can be found here from the last one I did.
Current desktop. Ah yes, summer has begun. ;)

Decided to part from my complex geektool setups on my laptop and went for a very simple wall paper with just the time in the middle. Really like the change for now.
