This is a reworked version of "Plate Techtonics" (see here for the original)(see here to learn about techtonics) for use as a desktop background image (other desktop images are here).

Aqui el primero de la serie de mis escritorios "online" , e intentare explicar lo mejor posible el setup.

Antes de nada decir que me gusta intentar hacer cosas diferentes, a algunos les gusta y a otros les parece raro. Si eres muy muy tradicional y no te gusta el desktop-modding no sigas leyendo xD . Bueno, escritorios tradicionales hay miles, de todos los colores, y mucho mejores que los mios, a si que, por que no intentar hacer cosas diferentes? Si todos fueramos iguales y con los mismos gustos, seria muy aburrido.

Pero no renuncio a la practicidad, os aseguro que este escritorio es practico casi al 100% , tienes todo a mano y a la vista, y he cuidado el consumo de recursos con los skins, es minimo comparado con la cantidad de informacion que muestro. En fin empiezo:

-Parto de la base e inspirado en un diseño web, lamentablemente no encuentro el enlace lo perdi, pero puedes hacerlo con cualquier wallpaper que te guste como fondo.

-Para crear o modificar las barras, las cajas de informacion, iconos.. etc.. Utilizo "GIMP", "COREL" y "PHOTOSHOP".

-Puedes hacerlo perfectamente con cualquiera de los tres, yo utilizo los tres por mi torpeza para dominar al completo esos programas, en uno se me da mejor modificar, en otro crear o dibujar, en otro las transparencias.. etc..

Pero si dominas cualquiera de los tres, puedes hacerlo perfectamente con solo uno de ellos.

-Las fuentes que utilizo son "bauhaus-thin" para los titulos y "arial" para las noticias.

-Galeria de imagenes, el punto naranja de la barra de titulo es un icono-enlace hacia tu galeria de imagenes, puedes hacerlo con los comandos de rainmeter:

"ImageName=ejemplo.png ---- LeftMouseDownAction=!Execute ["C:\Users\ejemplo\imagenes"]"

Para hacerlo sencillo apoyate en el skin ICONIF para rainmeter:

Dentro de la carpeta cambia el icono por el que quieras, y modifica los parametros de tamaño y posicion respacto al texto, puedes crear enlaces hacia carpetas de tu PC o a sitios web.

-Con estos mismos comandos (usa ICONIF) , creamos los enlaces "home" "documentos" "descargas" "mail" . El icono-boton-enlace que utilice es esa especie de flor gris y blanca del paquete de iconos "white" , no tengo el enlace, pero si les gusta lo subo a megaupload.

De todas formas puedes usar el icono que mas te guste.

-Igualmente hice con los "personal links" , solo que son accesos directos a paginas web, vuelve a modificar ICONIF, edita el skin, escoge tu navegador favorito, modifica los parametros etc.. Yo utilizo el mismo icono, pero puedes usar el logo de cada pagina web.

-El tiempo, poco que explicar, creo que es una modificacion del skin para rainmeter simple-sentence weather por @whitebaron white-baron.deviantart.com/art/Simplesentence-2-162356914 , pero puedes hacerlo modificando cualquier skin para el clima, (te sera mas sencillo si el skin esta en texto)

-Informacion: Para el rss, utiliza tambien simple-sentence, pero igualmente puedes hacerlo con cualquier skin rss, solo debes modificar la fuente (en este caso arial) tamaño y posicion del texto para que se adapte a la posicion que quieras. El icono de "Bitelia" lo agrege al rss usando el comando "imagename"

Rabbit's story.

Made using the winter tree wallpaper by deviantart user olde-fashioned, some subtly tweaked enigma and HUD-vision rainmeter skins, and the SUPERCOLOSSAL Rainmeter clock skin, as well as an area o4.1 Visual style. Also using launchy, but that's not as interesting as the other stuff.

I love my new Tin Tin desktop! Major "big-ups" to Matt for taking this Rock Star shot.

Another transparent 'desktop', this time on my iPod touch.

To all visitors from Smashing Magazine - HELLO!

Just a quick note - this transparent screen was created by holding the iPod and working out a good holding position, then removing the iPod without moving my fingers and taking a photo of my empty hand, then editing that photo in Photoshop, cropping it down to the exact dimensions of the iPod touch screen. I then loaded the photo onto the iPod touch, set it as the wallpaper, held the iPod the way I did originally and took another photo with my fingers aligned exactly right so as to 'sell' the transparency.

I decided I'd make this a couple of hours ago, its been a while but it was quick and easy.

The little dango's are all launcher buttons made by myself. The clock and music/note are from the theme "BlueGreen Fresh" and the system stats are a slightly mod'd from the "ChaeChae" theme.

I got the wonderful wallpaper off wallbase- and changed the aspect ratio.
