Second photo below the very gorgeous light, at least a dozen or more of Artimede Tolemo table LED lights mounted on a ring. But on this picture, the lights are just a reflection at the coffee spoons head.
Most notable, the difference in light color temperature.

Quite often Mica (specifically AMBER colored Mica) is associated
with Arts and Crafts Lamps and Furnishings.
Also- "industrial-strength" wire cloth such as this 8 mesh,
is rarely seen in Fine Home Interiors.
So to see these two materials used in this way- in a "Transitional-style" Home-
is to me, a unique and striking application of these materials.
Note, that by the by addition of the dark brownish/black color of the Black Patinaed Steel,the two colors- Amber and Black Patina combine for a simple , yet stark / clean look,
appropriate for many styles of Interior Design.

A computer-generated form was converted into modular sections, which were cut from 1.5mm birch plywood using a CNC routing machine. Emphasis was placed on limiting the number of unique module shapes in order to simplify construction; twenty six unique units are used in total, repeated through the symmetry of the form.

The Borealis lamp-shade is part of a series of lights, which were the result of experiments with computer design and CNC manufacture. Each Borealis lampshade comprises machine cut components, which are assembled and finished by hand in the Lazerian studio. Available in a number of different sizes.
