The Hofkirche is a fascinating place, I could spend hours there. Come to think of it, I probably did.
The cenotaph is surrounded by 28 large bronze statues (200–250 cm) of ancestors, relatives and heroes. Their creation took place over between 1502-1555, and occupied a number of artists including Christian Amberger, Albrecht Dürer, Jörg Kölderer, Jörg Polhamer the elder, Gilg Sesselschreiber, Ulrich Tiefenbrunn, and sculptors Peter Vischer the Elder, Hans Leinberger, G. Löffler, Leonhart Magt, and Veit Stoß. Three of the statues are based on designs by Dürer. In der Stabfiguren-Technik hat Richard Teschner (1879–1948), einer der bemerkenswertesten Vertreter des Wiener Jugendstils, neue Maßstäbe gesetzt. Teschner war außergewöhnlich vielseitig begabt: Er war Maler, Graphiker, Bildhauer, Puppenspieler und noch vieles mehr. Mit seinem revolutionären Figurentheater schuf er von den Puppen über die Stücke bis hin zur Bühnentechnik und Begleitmusik ein theatralisches Gesamtkunstwerk. Ausgehend von der javanischen Stabfigur entwickelte er einen neuen, ausdrucksvollen Puppentypus für seine pantomimischen Spiele. Die Überwindung der herkömmlichen Guckkastenbühne führte zum einzigartigen Rund des Figurenspiegels mit Bildern von großer Schönheit und suggestiver Wirkung.
In techniques for rod-puppets, Richard Teschner, one of the most notable representatives of Viennese art nouveau, set new standards. Teschner was a man of exceptionally diverse gifts: he was a painter, graphic designer, sculptor, puppeteer and much more. With his revolutionary theatre of figures, he created an integrated theatrical work of art encompassing everything from puppets to plays, stagecraft and incidental music. Using the Javanese rod-puppets as his model, he developed a new, expressive puppet variety for his pantomimic plays. Overcoming the traditional proscenium stage led to the unique round of the Magic Mirror, which gave rise to images of great beauty and suggestive effect.

The Hofkirche is a fascinating place, I could spend hours there. Come to think of it, I probably did.
The cenotaph is surrounded by 28 large bronze statues (200–250 cm) of ancestors, relatives and heroes. Their creation took place over between 1502-1555, and occupied a number of artists including Christian Amberger, Albrecht Dürer, Jörg Kölderer, Jörg Polhamer the elder, Gilg Sesselschreiber, Ulrich Tiefenbrunn, and sculptors Peter Vischer the Elder, Hans Leinberger, G. Löffler, Leonhart Magt, and Veit Stoß. Three of the statues are based on designs by Dürer. Interesting 1939 Talbot Lago Teardrop Art piece built by designer/sculptor Billy Hinds in 1988 in Carmel, California. Constructed from wood, fiberglass and a variety of other materials. It is just over 14' in length, 4'7" tall and 24" deep with a wheelbase of 107". It was not weighed but seems to be in the proximity of 800-1000lbs. Accepting offers. 707-332-8331.

In der Stabfiguren-Technik hat Richard Teschner (1879–1948), einer der bemerkenswertesten Vertreter des Wiener Jugendstils, neue Maßstäbe gesetzt. Teschner war außergewöhnlich vielseitig begabt: Er war Maler, Graphiker, Bildhauer, Puppenspieler und noch vieles mehr. Mit seinem revolutionären Figurentheater schuf er von den Puppen über die Stücke bis hin zur Bühnentechnik und Begleitmusik ein theatralisches Gesamtkunstwerk. Ausgehend von der javanischen Stabfigur entwickelte er einen neuen, ausdrucksvollen Puppentypus für seine pantomimischen Spiele. Die Überwindung der herkömmlichen Guckkastenbühne führte zum einzigartigen Rund des Figurenspiegels mit Bildern von großer Schönheit und suggestiver Wirkung.
In techniques for rod-puppets, Richard Teschner, one of the most notable representatives of Viennese art nouveau, set new standards. Teschner was a man of exceptionally diverse gifts: he was a painter, graphic designer, sculptor, puppeteer and much more. With his revolutionary theatre of figures, he created an integrated theatrical work of art encompassing everything from puppets to plays, stagecraft and incidental music. Using the Javanese rod-puppets as his model, he developed a new, expressive puppet variety for his pantomimic plays. Overcoming the traditional proscenium stage led to the unique round of the Magic Mirror, which gave rise to images of great beauty and suggestive effect.
