First and foremost a HUGE thanks to Neva Crystall-Blessed for all you did on the sim. You are amazing! <333

I originally intended to post a series of shots from around the sim but I'm not much of a landscape photographer so I'll leave that to those of you that are.

Those that know Derailed will remember the train station, trains and tracks. With the exception of a few trains, they're all still there and much, much more so come explore!

P.S. Some of the homes on the sim are rented. Feel free to explore the ones that are vacant but please respect those that are occupied (we don't have ban lines but it should be easy enough to tell them apart.)

Also, Derailed is joined to a second sim (open space) that's been redone as well, State of Confusion. You can get there by crossing the bridge at the marina.

"I'm lost now.. What am I to do?" she asked upwards to the winds.. feeling the end of the rail line beneath her feet. The pages of her past flew open, laying upon a decaying wagon of broken dreams. They stopped when the wind died down to a page..

"Keep moving.. There's more to your story" scribbled in black ink over the printed story underneath. It was then, she realized the derailment wasn't the end. But the beginning of her journey...

Marilyn Manson - WE ARE CHAOS

The last in the series of Dungeness shots.

Parfois on croit que tout déraille,

Qu'on tombe au creux de la faille.

Mais la voie est encore tracée,

Quoi nous mène à notre destinée.

Denise, thank you for all you do for us on this beautiful sim. <3

It's Cannonball not Wreckingball.. NS V07 derailed on Monday coming off the common wealth railroad in Suffolk, VA

A long disused railroad bridge, rails long gone. SOOC.

the world goes up and down and we flapping our wings to stay on top.. just watch the birds.. those pigeons just go by.. flying without moving.. when life is just a moment in eternity choose not to flap.. and dive into heavens you havent even known they where there..

It's pretty obvious why Pan Am's Hillsboro Branch is dubbed the "Derailment Branch". Pan Am train NA-1 slowly creeps along at 5 mph in Milford, NH. Once the train finally gets to the crossing where I'm positioned at, it will meet the Milford & Bennington 901 which is unloading it's train at Granite State Concrete. MEC 321 (ex-PC GP40) is leading today's train.

At about 10:30 EST, #CN149 got into a head on collision with #CN532, while he was doing its switching duties on the siding track, at Prescott.

I’m not gonna disclose any information on here, just cause I wanna keep the info confidential, until at least the TSB has made a public report. I’m deleting any comments asking “who’s at fault” or stating who was etc.

All I know is that everyone is okay, except for the engineer of 532 who got sent to the hospital, with serious injuries.

Yet another oldie from "The Vault".

I found this old rusting piece of rail equipment at Burwood Beach, NSW; Australia at low tide and thought it made for an interesting lead-in.

Hope you like it!

Thanks for any comments, views or favorites - always appreciated!

Have an awesome day and week everyone!

Due to another(!) derailment on NS's Savannah District, Georgia Central Railway was tasked to take NS train #232 to Savannah by way of Dublin and Vidalia, GA. The quintet of GP38-2's sounded amazing tackling the hill in Danville, GA with over 8,000 feet of train in tow.

A couple of derailed Box cars in Carizzo Gorge just up the tracks from Goat Canyon Trestle. Jacumba Wilderness California.

Serious decay and vandalism had taken its toll on this old hospital , but I still liked these stairs

Oh boy......

Last Friday, a derailment occurred in Cherokee Yard. This is not an extremely rare occurrence, but it was certainly a bigger derailment than most.

Apparently early Friday morning (like still dark early), the trimmer was working the west leg of the wye as they usually do. There was also a set of power that was headed for the house. Someone had clearance to use that track, but both crews thought they had it. I do not know who is really to blame for this, but either way it was not good.

As the power was backing in towards engine service, the trimmer kept shoving until the two collided via tank car, which pushed that EMD over on its side.

So yeah, big mess. I didn't even hear about this until mid-morning. I had some time before a lunch meeting in Downtown Tulsa, so I decided to swing by and scope out the damage for myself.

I took this shot from the 23rd St bridge. You can see the damage for yourself.

Oddly enough, this is my first shot from this bridge looking east (geographic north). I've only been up here a couple times, which is sort of by design. Too much traffic on this bridge for my liking...

With a green Ferrosur AC4400CW leading (also referred to as "ranas") We are going down the distrito de Acultzingo, a treacherous mountain pass that starts in Jesús Nazareno at 7992ft and ends at Orizaba at 4055ft with numerous loops, tunnels and a maximum grade of 3%. This breathtaking mountain pass is all non-CTC territory and sees about 20-25 trains per day. I was lucky enough to ride with a crew down the pass and witness this amazing operation from a railroader's point of view and was absolutely mind blown.

For obvious reasons, the specific date and engine numbers won't be shared.

Taken whilst walking Billy my dog. It's surprising how these railings still stand...

This track runs around the edge of Point Molate in Richmond, a decommissioned naval fuel depot. The track is one storm away from falling into the water, there is absolutely nothing holding it up on the left!

thank you Techult (necronomicon.darkstone) for posing.
