It rained or drizzled all day which would have been quite depressing if this fiery guy hadn't stopped by! Scarlet tanagers winter as far south as Bolivia for the winter so it's no wonder they arrive to nest here later than most other birds.
* Bon c'est vrai, j'aurais pu inverser la photo et ainsi l'intituler "ascension", mais je n'ai pas eu le courage.... ,)
* Well it's true, I could have reversed the photo and thus titled it "ascension", but I did not have the courage.... ,)

At a fading twilight
depressing silence falls over me and greets you.
It is not desire, not a dream, but a memory:
Oh how long ago was that not long ago!
We are both standing on unbridled rock
motionless cuddled up
with no tears with no words,
only our trembling blue lips tie us to each other
if you kiss me we will fall into the depth
I've still been dreaming with you
the joy of sweet sorrow overwhelms me,
as winter sets in everything
till December arrives.
Snowstorm in tempest
calls for rebellious miracles
then I realize my loneliness.
above you the morning light,
on your lips the twilight
until all is myself
memory and fresh air
trembling through your body.
Silence falls on me
in a red meadow greets you.
However far away
our souls meet.
and if I sometimes get captured by the agoraphobia of love,
by its petty concerns,
hiding in my bed,
crouching like nature at midnight,
silently and without signals
I listen to the song of baglama.
Hungarian:
Tünedező alkonyvilágnál
néma csend borul rám és téged köszönt.
Nem vágy, nem álom, hanem emlék:
jaj be rég volt az a nem is oly rég!
Féktelen sziklatetőn állunk mi ketten
meredten, összetapadva,
nincs könnyünk, nincs szavunk,
míg reszkető kékes ajkunk összefon,
ha megcsókolsz, zuhanunk.
Még egyre álmodom veled
és az édesbús öröm
s télibb lesz mind a vidék,
december lesz a vidék.
Viharban hófúvás,
mely háborgó csodákra hív.
Míg aztán magam leszek
fölötted a reggeli fény,
ajkadon az alkonyi fény,
mígnem minden magam leszek,
testeden átremegő
emlék és friss levegő.
Vörös ligetben, ha néma csend borul rám,
téged köszönt.
Lelkünk egymástól bármily messze válva is
összetalál,
és ha olykor elfog a szeretet tériszonya,
kicsinyes aggodalma,
ilyenkor ágyba bújva, kuporogva,
mint a természet éjfél idején,
hangtalanul és jelzés nélkül
hallgatom a baglama dalát.
I wish to all Flickr members happiness and a wonderful new week!
Watching a dreary, depressing, black and white day when this bird changed everything. Have a super fantastic day. Photos are taken in South Eastern Ct. with a Canon 5D M or II 7D M II and Canon 100 to 400II or Sigma 24-105. THANK YOU.
The Haymarket station of 1977 cuts a dour and depressing sight when compared to the vibrant, light and airy station of today - and indeed a walk down to platform level would reveal a spartan, grimy and uncared for scene that only added to the depression.
Today's structure has embraced the best of this elegant facade but, together with a new and enhanced building immediately behind, has transformed the station into an appealing, busy and altogether more confident space with coffee vendors, news-stands, and a waiting area that caters to the needs and expectations of today's traveling public. More importantly it (together with the electrified railway system) is entirely in keeping with the upmarket business and conference area that Haymarket has become. Just a pity, for the rail enthusiast at least, those blue Scottish Region BR totems didn't make the cut!
In this scene, perhaps as interesting as the building are the two cars on the left. Nearest the camera is what appears to be a then fairly common Vauxhall Viva 2-door saloon - the number plate of RES 23J suggests it was registered in Perthshire sometime in 1970/71.
The car behind is even more interesting, and certainly nowhere near as common. To my untrained eye, I'm guessing a Ford Zodiak Mk IV Executive - but am open to correction. The 'K' suffix on the number plate indicates it would have been registered in 71/72.
Despite it being 10.25am everything looks pretty quiet here, so perhaps no surprise it was a Sunday. I took the shot after visiting Haymarket Depot - my next port of call would be Edinburgh Waverley before heading out Stirling way.
There's a bit of vertical distortion, which I opted not to correct to avoid losing detail from the sides of the image.

Halfway done with 2020 and living in a Covid limbo...although it's been a challenge and down right depressing at times, we've been coping by getting lots of nature therapy whenever we can while exercising extreme caution and mornings like these definitely fill us with much needed joy and optimism for the future.
Clematis 'Jackmanii' is a Clematis cultivar which, when it was introduced in 1862, was the first of the modern large-flowered hybrid clematises of gardens. It is a climber with large violet-purple blooms, still among the most familiar climbers seen in gardens. It was produced from crosses made by the prominent nurseryman George Jackman (1837–1887),[1] of Jackman & Sons, Woking, Surrey.

Bir başıma, çaresizce bekledim sahilde
yalnızlığım yansıdı solgun gölgeme.
Son dakikalarını yaşarken hayatın
Bir bulut çöktü üzerime sessizce
Bak Hayat devam ediyor
Ama benimle Ama bensiz
Bir Beden daha göçüyor
Ama Ruhla Ama Sensiz !
