I did an English Paper Piecing demo for the Washington, DC Modern Quilt Guild, and after the day was done, I stitched together everyone's practice hexies to make this little pouch.
Image from the Terrapattern project, terrapattern.com, created by Golan Levin, David Newbury, Kyle McDonald, Irene Alvaredo, Aman Tiwari, and Manzil Zaheer.
This is an unfinished demo for a computer graphics class that I took at SFSU a couple of years ago.
The music was stolen from a New Orleans Klezmer All Stars CD that I found at a local library.
The actual flash animation sucks a lot less than this resized and overcompressed AVI version does.
Yes, for the past several days I've walked everywhere with four phones and a Nikon...all so I could fully test the capabilities of the iPhone 4's camera against a nice spectrum of alternatives.
I do and I do and I do for you kids...
Yes, on Monday I'll be posting comparison pix...same shot five times. Suffice to say that I'm now certain that I have a firm handle on what this (wonderful) camera can and can't do.
The full comparison album will be up here on Flickr and will accompany my iPhone 4 mega-review in the Sun-Times.
(What was this one shot with? Another iPhone 4. Yes, I had two iPhones to play with.)
(Whoops...this photo has been tweaked and downsampled. But the rest of the shots in this set haven't been touched.)

Last Saterday I demonstrated "working with distress inks" at Jorbeau in Ouddorp. I really enjoyed it; it gives you a good feeling to get people enthousiastic for stamping. Lovely!
Unfortunately the stamps I should be demonstrating with where not there and I had to improvise at the spot with the available stamps they had. But this has turned out great! It's all about the techniques but it needs to be eyecatchers as well.
