NJT 4300 is leading NJT 4211, 4102 and 4103 as they deliver PRR 7000 and CNJ 1523 to the URHS. Three other passenger cars were also being delivered for safe keeping and restoration for future operations that URHS plans to do in the future with these engines home.
Just the latest jigsaw completed , it has been one that was done in stages , so it has been about a year in the making. Bit of a nostalgic feel to this one but I am still working out what era —- 60s or 70s at a guess .
As I was crossing the road, out of nowhere some 20 motorised 'Santas' zoomed by. I hardly had time to get my phone out.
Todays excitement in Teignmouth centered around the arrival of Lairas first class 175 for driver training. Laira will be receiving a dozen 175 sets over the next few months and these will be used to replace the last few Castle Class HST set plus other duties.
175002 passed through Teignmouth this morning under the cover of darkness hauled by 37407 top and tailed with 37510 plus two barriers. They are captured here returning to Derby RTC as 5M57 0947 departure from Laira.
It was a grim day today, one of those flat grey days not ideal for photography hence my close crop power shot.
The track height is not much lower than the height of the wall at this point and makes for an imposing image as some rambles enjoy their walk along the sea wall at Sprey Point , Teignmouth.

Just delivered from Donnybrook, a new addition to ever growing EV class at Clontarf Garage, starry starry night on route 42, EV 30 at the Portmarnock terminus.
Harristown EV 65 has also transferred this week.
Summer is seriously over now, there was a time this year that at 9 pm, this type of shot could have been still in daylight, but Autumn 2020 has closed in quickly, seasons change & so do photo styles.

Most of my shots from this night are heavily light polluted with headlights, unneccesarily bright flashlights and headlamps. A gas station is going in nearby, so excessively bright lights are likely to destroy dark sky night photography here, and in the area.
Between the expanding ground-based light pollution and thousands of low earth orbit satellites being launched, these are "the good old days" for night photography. Enjoy them while you can!
