I managed to capture this wasp today at the botanical garden. It is the most crisp shot I've ever gotten of an insect and of course my macro lens wasn't on when I saw him.

This is a reminder that sometimes in life, things sting. They hurt, inside or out. Harsh words or behavior, scrapes and bites, and losses.

And they affect us in ways we don't want them to. Hurt feelings, loss of self-esteem, physical swelling and bleeding, lack of focus, sadness and the inability to move on.

But eventually the hurt does go away... eventually. In it's own time.

I decide to participate in 365. Since I'm at a friend's with no digital camera, that means taking random pictures of myself in Photo Booth on my MacBook. Day 1 done, yo.

While I was walking down shore. I saw this jetty from a good distance away. As I got closer, I spotted this moment. I could tell the woman in the picture was relaxing and taking all the surroundings in, so I decided to capture it. This quick snap turned into a calming and soothing moment and overall a beautiful picture.
