My name is “Edwin van Tilburg” I'm living in Oss (Netherlands) and besides making music I'm mostly Meike's dad and real estate agent. I also like photography and riding my motorbike. I got to know Jan and Arjen through the speed skating club. At this moment I am not skating much, but that can change. I discovered my interest in music when I was in the 2nd grade of primary school. That year I got to know a friend how had to double class that year, we got along quite well. The first time we got to play at his parents house the 10 year older brother (called Harry) was also home. Harry had worn and patched bell bottom jeans, long hair, a white Les Paul model guitar and a Marshall Stack and he was playing solo's along with a record. That first sight of him is still, almost 40 years later, forefront in my mind. It felt to me as if I was looking at God himself. The love for guitar and guitar music as born.
Most kids of my age where listening to music from ABBA when I got to know the Allman Brothers Band, Status Quo, The Sweet and most of all Queen.
On my 8th birthday I got the Queen album “Sheer Heart Attack” in the years after I also started listening to blues guitarists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King and Albert Collins. Even though I like a wide range of music styles, I do prefer solid and melodic rock and blues. So; In my music bio the band Queen is mentioned 3 times at the least. My favorite guitar player is Brian May (yes the Queen guitarist) cause of his versatility and his beautiful always recognizable style and sound. My first guitar was a nylon string acoustic, after a short time i changed to bass guitar, then changed back again to the guitar.
The first cover band I played in was called “One night stand” the idea was that we where so bad that we never got to play somewhere for a 2nd time. When that band split up I followed several workshops and tried another band. In 2008 I joined a new band called “KOFFER!” (means suitcase) after some changes from members that ended. In “Deep Seated” I play guitar, do vocal harmonies. Mijn naam is Edwin van Tilburg. Ik woon in Oss en naast muziek maken ben ik vooral vader van Meike en makelaar van beroep. Verder vind ik fotografie en motorrijden leuk. Jan en Arjen heb ik leren kennen op de schaatsclub. Op dit moment staat het schaatsen op een laag pitje maar dat kan bij mij zo weer veranderen. Mijn belangstelling voor muziek begon aan het begin van de 2e klas (groep 4) op de lagere school. In het nieuwe schooljaar maakte ik kennis met een jongen die was blijven zitten en ik kon het direct goed met hem vinden. Toen ik voor het eerst bij hem thuis ging spelen was zijn 10 jaar oudere broer Harry thuis. Harry had een gelapte jeans met wijde pijpen, lang haar en hij soleerde met een plaat mee op een witte Les Paul en een Marshall Stack. Bijna 40 jaar geleden en toch staat dit nog bijna letterlijk op mijn netvlies gebrand. In mijn ogen leek het wel of God daar stond. En zie, de belangstelling voor de gitaar en de liefde voor gitaarmuziek was geboren. Daar waar de meeste 8 jarige kinderen luisterden naar ABBA leerde ik de muziek van onder andere Allman Brothers Band, Status Quo, The Sweet en vooral QUEEN (!) kennen. Voor mijn 8e verjaardag vroeg en kreeg ik de LP Sheer Heart Attack van QUEEN. In de jaren daarna ging ik ook luisteren naar blues gitaristen zoals Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King, Albert Collins. Hoewel ik een zeer brede muzikale belangstelling heb, gaat mijn voorkeur nog steeds uit naar wat stevige en melodische rock en blues. In een bio over muziek zal het woord QUEEN dan ook minsten drie keer voorkomen. Mijn favoriete gitarist is Brian May (inderdaad van QUEEN) vanwege zijn veelzijdigheid en zijn prachtige altijd herkenbare gitaarspel en geluid. Mijn eerste gitaar, een klassieke, kreeg ik pas op mijn 16e en niet lang daarna stapte ik over naar basgitaar. Om vervolgens weer bij de gitaar terug te komen. Mijn eerste band waarin ik speelde, was een rock coverband "One Night Stand" geheten. Het idee was, dat we zo slecht waren dat we overal maar één keer mochten optreden. Toen deze band uit elkaar viel, heb ik diverse workshops gevolgd en het nog een keer met een ander bandje geprobeerd. In 2008 ben ik bij een andere coverband "Koffer" genaamd begonnen. Na wat wisselingen van bezetting kwam ook hier een einde aan. Bij Deep Seated speel ik gitaar en doe ik 2e stemmen. Af en toe vind ik het leuk een nummer te zingen.
Me playing with Deep Seated. (May 25, 2014) We still have a few gigs planned in June, July and September. I will finish those. After that I decided to say Deep Seated farewell ... after a little over 2 years I feel it is time to move on and do something new.
Jan (our other guitarist) and I do have musical differences, in these cases there is no wrong or right, we just go our separate ways as friends.
I am playing in an other band called Late! we are doing hard rock covers from Kiss, Ozzy Osbourne and Twisted Sister. Besides that I am trying to put a more melodic / acoustic band together.

This pic too was taken after a long day of walking and standing. Sophia's soles are sweaty and smelly and her warts hurt terribly. Here Sonja's new wart babies are clearly visible. The reddish color of the wart in center was caused by an unsuccessful treatment with acid which led to a lymphangittis. As even the treatment of this rather superficial wart failed Sonja gave up as all the other warts are very deepseated. Sonja suffers from severe pain with walking on her warts and feels very much ashamed of her "broad stinky feet with the ugly warts".
About to set off for some shopping. There are those who say we should try to belnd in when out and about. No offense, but I simply cannot do that.
Call if vanity, if you will, but I have such a deepseated desire to be seen.
The permanent weight-avoiding on her plantar wart led to an unnatural gait and excessive pressure on the outer edge of her ball. This caused a plantar corn, which is very deepseated. It hurts a lot, but Leah seldom realized its stinging since it is overshadowed by the extreme pain of her wart and the increasing pain of her other corns at the toes.
