When you can no longer count the peaceful moments in your day, and life becomes a wonderful place of clear thoughts and calm, you know things are as right as they should be.

This is Vancouver: Snowy mountains and mainly green shoreline in winter
It's cold and snowy outside so I wanted some colour today...
I took this last month when I was shooting at a marina in Deep Cove.
Some camera flinging of a stack of colourful kayaks....
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

I've been off Flickr for several days...will try to catch up to your latest posts today :)
We went kayaking in Deep Cove today, the only sunny day of the week. It was just so peaceful out there. I didn't dare bring my new camera though, because I got pretty wet and didn't want to chance anything happening to it.

I had an entirely different plan for this theme, but after seeing how the tree was silhouetted against the fog at Deep Cove, I decided to use this one instead.
I will be mainly off until after Christmas. We are going out of town for several days for our first family Christmas get together this weekend. But I will post once more before Christmas and will check in when I can :) It's a busy time of year and a time that, I hope, brings you joy and peace!
When I was shooting in Deep Cove a couple of weeks ago, a woman asked us if we'd like to go down the private yacht club pier so we could shoot from the end of the pier. Of course, we said yes. So I was able to get some views that I normally didn't from the shore or the public pier.
This is some more artistic camera flinging (or ICM) of the colourful houses along the water. There is a sailboat in the middle of the scene - you can see the mast and reflections right down the middle, and if you zoom in, you might see a ghostly mast. A regular shot of those houses just wouldn't cut it for me :)
I have shot this iconic red lifeguard chair at Deep Cove many times, but I keep going back. It's a bit more moody in the early morning winter fog. We didn't get the snow that was forecast, so keeping my fingers crossed that it will just stay away. Meanwhile, we are still in below freezing temperatures.

I took this in Deep Cove while out shooting with a Flickr friend on Friday. Someone had created a group of rock sculptures next to the water and I thought they were very picturesque against the still blue water.
