Bude a few days ago. We were hoping to catch a sunset on the beach but it wasn't a very inspiring occasion, cold wet and windy. There was a two minute burst of beautiful light, in the only two minutes of rain we'd had the entire afternoon and I couldn't get a shot off without big fat splats of rain being blown up onto the lens.
Anyhow, the sky was quite impressive and it wasn't a wasted trip. I caught this brave gent running laps further up the beach and there was plenty of light left.

NO INVITES NEEDEED FOR THIS ONE ~ Just wanted to share it with you. :-) Have a great day/night everyone!
On 12th December 1980, a ceremony was held at the National Railway Museum, to celebrate the green livery on 55002 and to commemorate its' place in preservation upon withdrawal.
Despite being very rainy, despite being very cold Lewis dragged his Pop Pop and Nana out for his daily constitution, his walk. He had just recently been given a new pair of Hunter boots from his mommy so the weather was just right to check them out.
Off we went in the car (nice and warm) and then out of the car (very, very cold) for the walk in the rain and mud - yep, the boots are waterproof but Pops and and Nana are freezing - back in the car, home!
Total dedication!!

Stanford University Memorial Church, Stanford, CA
The last of several interior images I posted at the Stanford Church over the last couple of weeks. There is a dedication to Leland Stanford Jr. carved into the giant pillar on the left.
Piero_HN and I wanted to watch the sun rise from Red Rocks early one September morning. We were there in the dark; we were there in time; we beat the sun; but we didn't beat this girl. It's not easy to get up early in the morning to run every row of seats of the fame Red Rocks Amphitheater; but that day with the sun barely shining its light on Red Rocks, she was already more than half way done. That's dedication!
Many say that the process of learning photography acquires blood, sweat and tears. I prefer the quick a pound of flesh method. Well, not really a pound of flesh. I only left a long strip of my skin and DNA in front of this building when I didn't see a step because I was looking up. To make a long story short, I did a pretty spectacular swan dive onto the concrete. Thankfully, I did not break my camera. And yes, that was the first thing I checked after the fall.
Took this shot and a few others before I hobbled back to my car. Had to get this with clouds - no matter how puny they were.
This is the third in a series of photos I'll make as a dedication to light painters who inspire me.
