I wandered through San Francisco and shot Macro shots of grafitti tags - deconstructing them into simple strokes and movements.

FINAL BOMBS
Rather than demolishing old buildings randomly, the buildings at Copenhagen University Campus are being re-used. This building is in the process of being stripped of anything which can be useful in new houses. While this may seem like a novel idea, it isn't really. The homes of the skilled carpenters of my family have always been patchworks of old and new - salvaged materials, particularly beautiful doors and out-of-date windows found in buildings being torn down, mixed with the latest in materials and technology. In short: Tradition has caught up with progress, and created a more sustainable approach to construction.
Mixed Media on Wood Panel.

Broken mirror on top of silver spray painted cement and resin on wooden panel.
I began this process with just a suit jacket that I had purchased for £6.99 at a charity shop. After lots of unpicking and deconstructing I was left with lots of fabric to work with. I came up with designs by experimenting on the stand. This gave me a visual and 3D idea of how I would put together my final piece. I chose to use ruffles after finding they were effective. I also chose to use netting which created a lot if structure and gave the skirt more volume.
I loved the photo shoot and loved helping style it. My main idea was to have my model acting as a fairy tail character as I felt my dress was quite fun and playful.

A Facial Deconstruction
What makes each human unique is their facial features and this
piece looks to blend and blur this idea through expressive strokes.
Hey things are starting to look.. altered...
We removed that naaaasty leaky old toilet and the bottom row of tile around the tub, and that curious little wall they built in front of the tub as well. I am glad that it was in pretty condition under there!

Italian Market 9th & Washington Avenue. A former warehouse, known as the Ice house, is being torn down to make way for the construction of affordable senior housing. The start of a very enterprising housing development in an area resistant to changes.

The interior of an abandoned train. The floor has detailed black and red check tiling, and the ceiling is almost completely gone from sitting in the elements for too long.
