New Blog Post! I was born in the golden era of hip-hop and wanted to recreate an image I've always been fascinated by from the Death Row Records Promo. I, the Asian, am taking the pose from Suge Night, my lady is doing Tupac, and our Corgi-Chow naturally chose to do Snoop Dogg.

Tupac at Madame Tussad's in San Francisco. I still listen to his music. Like Bob Marley, his music is timeless.

The empty building which used to be the famous Club 662, run by Suge Knight, co-founder and former CEO of Death Row records. 2Pac was on his way to perform at the club at the time of his fatal shooting in September 1996. Photo taken 7th August 2014. The heyday of the club can be seen in these videos :
And how it used to look :
This is Snoop Doggy Dogg's very first album from Future Shock Entertainment that was unofficially released in 1991. Future Shock Ent. later became Death Row Records in 1992. The album was manufactured first as a record release but in very small quantities and thus became a promotional album shared with other funk and hip-hop rostas that were associated with Death Row. The albums were put out on Priority Records, Sony Music, and Time Warner in 1991. It never reached the stage for distribution in the public market and was pulled off the shelf as soon as it hit the production line. Only a handfull of copies managed to end up in record shops.

(Photo by Chi Modu/diverseimages), I rendered the image in photoshop to support my revolution movement, the black and white image compliments and diverifies the red text. I wanted to do this so it stands out.

Four cassettes that should've been thrown away a long time ago. My sister had the REM and Black Crowes tapes; Hammer and Snoop Doggy Dogg were mine.

Say what you will about BART, SF Mayor London Breed, and CA Gov. Gavin Newsom (I've talked shit about all three at length and in print), but at least they didn't do anything as stupid as NY Gov. Hochul's new signs about masking (or not) on the subway.
