Nature has endowed the relief of this vast rock formation with incredible colors. In Spanish, the Valle del Arcoiris means "Valley of the Rainbow", a name worthy of this grandiose landscape of red, white, yellow and brown cliffs standing out against the blue sky. This emblematic site of San Pedro de Atacama attracts visitors from all over the world to admire its splendid colors.

Aquesta és una de les entrades més iconiques de tots els colleges d'Oxford, la "relativament" oculta entrada al New College, situada al molt poc originalment anomenat New College Lane. De fet, el carrer sembla acabar en aquest cul de sac, però no tansols s'obre a l'entrada del college, si no que cap a la dreta podeu veureu una arcada que fa continuar el carrer fent ziga-zaga fins a High Street.

The main gate of New College is one of the most iconic of all Oxford colleges. Sitting in the not-much-originally-named New College Lane, it appears to the untrained eye to lead to a cul-de-sac. But it's the main college entrance, and even the street continues to the right, though an arcade, and up to High Street.
These grow on the roadside on the deadend road that I live on and I love to look at them on our morning walks.

Well, it actually turned out to be a dead end road and we had to turn around and retrace our steps. But it sure was beautiful and it ran along a small creek. We find a lot of dead end roads in our travels, but we also find some of our most interesting photos along them. The only ones that disappoint are the ones that go for many miles and then just end and that's only because it seems like such a waste of time to go all the way back. Some of these roads are marked "Dead End" or "No Outlet" and many are not so we don't always know. A very rainy day here in Virginia due to the remnants of Hurricane Zeta. Time to hunker down and organize photos! Have a great day everyone! :)
Pausing to soak in the landscape, I heard the distant calls of elk echo as the scent of sage drifted on the breeze. Meanwhile, a storm gathered in the south, painting the sky with drama and filling the air with anticipation. In that moment, no photograph could ever capture the breathtaking beauty I experienced.

Abandoned farmhouse down a dead end road near Sterling,IL. This one has a personal connection as I was good friends of the brothers who grew up in this house.I helped stack hay in the barn,attended parties there,and mourned the death of one of the brothers there many years ago. It is not a good feeling to see this place in this condition,there was once a lot of life here...

The “scape_lands“ is a readymade-fotowork series developed since 2010.
The theme is the hermetical law of correspondence (we exist in all planes, astral as well as physical) I discovered the scape_lands in the urban environments, the streets of Berlin.

Several years ago, our town decided to re-do street numbers and signs to make addresses more clear for first responders. This included putting "dead end" signs on all the short streets and cut-de-sacs. It made for some funny combinations.
