I've walked past this tree loads of times without going down there to check it out. It was quite inaccessible but when I finally got off the beaten track it turned out to be one of those places where the river banks opened up the landscape a little bit and made made for this vista.
Dead Horse Point State Park is a state park of Utah in the United States, featuring a dramatic overlook of the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park. The park covers 5,362 acres (2,170 ha) of high desert at an altitude of 5,900 feet (1,800 m).
A large dead tree on the grounds of Knightshayes Court, might have been an oak. There are some incredibly large and old trees growing on that estate, among others the tallest tree in all of Devon!
Just some old boat placed randomly in someone's garden. I love the way the copper nails are trying to hang on to the back of the boat.
He's on a dead branch that I stuck into one of the garden beds. Always helps to have a place for them to perch.
