DC Podfest founders Jennifer Crawford (the Jellyvison Show) and Alex Vidales (StageCraft) did a super job keeping things moving and everyone upbeat at DC Podfest 2017. See you next year! — at WeWork Wonder Bread Factory.

Pictured here are the skylights/ceilings of the National Portrait Gallery (left) and the Ronald Reagan Building (right), both in Washington, DC.

The courtyard of the National Portrait Gallery was enclosed by this ceiling a little over a year ago. It truly is a piece of art in of itself, and the now enclosed courtyard is one of my favorite spots in the city. It's perfect for reading, having a coffee, reviewing photos from the day, etc.

I'm interested to hear from you all if you like that I put both of these shots together or if you would have preferred I keep them separate. I feel like they compliment each other very well.

Since the emergence of the Islamic State, the threat of Western fighters in Syria and Iraq returning to the West has become a great concern. The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) between the United States and 38 foreign nations has come under fire due to the perceived vulnerability of the program in allowing terrorists to enter the U.S. undetected. Our panel will examine the VWP and discuss why, in addition to economic and diplomatic benefits, the Visa Waiver Program may actually improve U.S. security, not endanger it. October 6, 2014.

The DC USA building site, corner of 14th and Irving Streets, Washington DC 9march07: Girder your loins, Columbia Heights. Here it comes. Already, the only identifiable facades on this block are the Tivoli Theater and the old Riggs bank building (far right).

Target, Best Buy, and Staples are a strange fit for the neighborhood, and I'll be eager to see what it's like after the shiny new patina has worn off & it settles into an older skin... because I expect it'll have a nasty sting when it's new and immaculate, like an invading virus. The 'Heights survived the riots of '68, and it'll survive this. I hope.

Mr. Coleman is 47 years old and came to Bread for the City for the first time last year. Mr. Coleman was diagnosed with high blood pressure at the medical clinic, and we helped advise him on his diet. He volunteers from time to time and donates clothes. "Bread for the City is a top of the line facility, and they really help the young brothers and sisters out."
