Northwest Washington, D.C. This residential entrance is rather unique and looks to be a rental as well. Washington is full of such gems. Taken a few years ago but I suspect it's still there, unchanged.

DC Figures #20

From L to R

Icon: I like the look of the robin torso and power man head. credit to xenomorph79 for the torso idea.

Dr Mid-Nite: Mt first JSA custom. I like the torso.

Hawkgirl: I just thought I needed a Hawkgirl to go with my Hawkman.

Hush: He's more of a WIP but I wanted to show him either way.

What do you think?

"Five Things You Might Not Know About the Washington Monument": www.history.com/news/5-things-you-might-not-know-about-th...

Wikipedia entry: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Monument

Architect: Robert Mills (1781-1855)

The son of the original Green Lantern, Alan Scott. He and his twin sister, Jade, were put up for adoption and separated at a very early age, and didn't meet until they were teenagers. Todd grew up in abusive household - ironically in the same Milwaukee town as his sister. The two joined Infinity Inc. and later the JSA. Todd is also one of DC's earliest gay heroes, having come out during his time with the JSA in the 90s!

I decided to take yet another crack at this figure now that we have all those classic Sinestro parts! I was hoping the old Dementor cape on its side coupled with a traditional Batman cape would make for more of an enveloping, gaseous look, but I'm not sure that comes across - especially since the cape *really* doesn't want to come down any more than that. Either way, let me know your thoughts!

I wasn't going to buy into this line but these two were too cute.

Only a few trees were bloomed yet...I bet next week will be stunning! But I am trying to take advantage of our little trip to DC~

Left to right: The Ventriloquist and Scarface, Bronze Tiger, Ma'alefa'ak, Black Spider and Captain Cold.

Most of these figures are old ones with new changes. Credit to Andrew Cookston for Ma'alefa'ak's head and torso.

Worlds last DC-10 passenger airliner.

A photo from the wonderful week in DC this past September. Thank you Amy Lamb and Cassandra Storm for the support and assistance :)

Left to Right: The Flash, Ocean Warrior Aquaman, Stephanie Brown, Batman, Wonder Woman, Batwoman and Cyborg.

Follow me for more LEGO DC creations!

Ventriloquist and Scarface: Not sure if I showed my old one but this one has a much better face. Scarface is based off of Killer Moth's.

Mr Toxic: Wanted to kinda do a different design than what others have done so I guess this is the C-Verse Mr Toxic.

Sportsmaster: Still wanna armor this guy up more.

Rainbow Raider: New head, torso, and a belt.

Enjoy!

Another shot of the cherry blossoms at dawn, framing the Jefferson Memorial. I thought the trees looked like they were loaded with popcorn in the morning light.

Calendar Man: New head and cape with the months on the edge ( I could only fit up to October but didn't want to start again.

Owlman: The space batman cowl works really well.

The truckers protesting the U.S. government response to the Covid-19 economic crises. Parked on Constitution Ave., disrupting Trump's presser (no, they weren't showing support).

The workhorse of the 1930's and 40's.

The Douglas DC-2 was a 14-Seat passenger twin-engine Plane that first flew in 1934 and saw some commercial success with many early airlines like TWA, PAN AM and KLM; it was the predecessor of the mythical Douglas DC-3 / C-47 Dakota.

At the start of the thirties, most airlines of the time started to look for an all-metal airliner since they were much more robust than the fragile wood-made planes of the twenties, like the Fokker D.VII. United Airlines was the first when it purchased the Boeing 247 (the first of it´s kind) resulting on a request by TWA to Douglas to develop a more capable design, the DC-2.

A total of 198 Douglas DC-2s were built, some of them being acquired by Air Forces around the world. Although not as legendary as the DC-3, it was still a formidable and revolutionary design, with a maximum speed of 340km/h (much faster than contemporary American Fighter Planes).

5 examples were sold to Spain to be used by LAPE Airlines (pictured) but with the start of the Spanish Civil War, all of them were used for Military Operations.

I debated a little bit whether to go with Isis or Zari on this one, but I figure Isis is the more practical option, even if it is a little retroactively uncomfortable. Either way, she'll be joining the Legends of Tomorrow this season, so I figured I oughta get out in front of the oncoming wave of attempts with my own! 😅

Enchantress: Hela head, loyd hood, green cape, poison ivy legs, and green torso with CLMS loyd arms!

King Shark: not sure were alot of the parts came from, so.....

Lex Corp Goon: BvS lex corp torso, loyd legs, and ninja turtle head from 2014!

The armored super-genius of Earth 8's premier hero team the Retaliators!

If you couldn't tell, Machinehead is a pastiche of Marvel's Iron Man. The entirety of Earth 8 is an expy of the Marvel 616 universe - their prime continuity - and Earth 7 is an expy of the Ultimate Marvel continuity, because it never hurts to have a stand-in around for the distinguished competition!

Another angle from near the Washington Monument. Looks pretty warm and inviting, right? Actually it was so cold with the wind chill that afternoon that the humidity started freezing like five min after I took this shot. 5 exp.
