Virtually all previous views I have had of Snowy Egrets have been when they have been in fresh water. This example seen at Daytona Beach, Florida in March 2019 was therefore a surprise.
The above being said it seems that then bird can feed in fresh or salt water and would likely be hunting here for shrimp, small fish, and small invertebrates.
