Harry strolling through the yard to come see me. :)

Do you really think

that love is gonna save your soul?

Well I sure hope so,

I really hope so.

But I don't think so.

The ISS overhead at just past 9pm this evening. I had a bit of trouble composing the image as the gap in the trees wasn't quite in the right place for the space station's orbit path... and there are a lot of brambles to trip over in the dark1

Day 98/365: 2015

The weekly theme is giving the mundane it's beautiful due.

This wall, at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, is part of a Victorian kitchen garden. The holes are from where the fruit trees were supported by nails.

Day 98 2017 365 (C)

The last leg of our epic Saxon Shore Way walk from Hythe to Rye. Max and I have travelled the length of this long distance path from Gravesend to Hythe and with this last section completing the 165 mile trail. With us today on this last section was Abigail, my oldest daughter and Max, who has trodden every step with me, a brilliant end to this epic trip......

But then I realized, all that doesn't even matter.

Inspired by tinka she takes awesome silhouettes.

Submitted to www.rocktheshotforum.com/2011/08/05/photo-challenge-silho... Competition

I came home from work with a bad headache. I quickly grabbed this shot and have taken some drugs so going to have a lie down and hopefully it will go away soon!

I've found that lately I've really like kidish photos. So - I decided to do this.

I'm getting bored of indoor shots. But, winter is here and outside is ugly with sad little splotches of snow here and there. 9_9 Hopefully it'll snow more! and very soon so I can go out and take some shots!! :)

I was inspired by this fantastic photo.

Always. One photo a day. (98/366) Bayside, Queens, NYC --April 7, 2020

A macro photo of a dried wild cucumber.

Cream of the Crop pool as my most favorited.

I've been having some fun participating in the You vs. the Best group here on Flickr.

This photo has made it into that group's Hall of Fame. That means it "defeated" five other photos in a given category. This was entered in the Digital Manipulation category.

Day 98 ~ 365.2015

Week 14 Theme: Giving the mundane its beautiful due

ODC ~ Disturbing for 04.08.15

Chuck's reading material disturbs me, he isn't stable to start with & I don't want him getting ideas.

YEA!! Finally got a pic of the MALE Acorn Woodpecker. I have been trying all year to get this shot. As you can see, his red crown touches his white forehead. In females, there is a black strip between the two. This almost looks like he is against a fake background, but it's not.

Thanks so much for the kind words and faves!

A quick edit...I think I will come back and do a better job as this is not quite what I had in mind...oh well...it's still fun(ny)

The rose bushes in the front yard are starting to show signs of renewed life.

this tulip has seen better days...

another shot with the SB600 (1/8 - CLS) in a translucent IKEA box with the subject on top.

This is my new picture for my 365 project for the weekly theme "Mondane Beauty".

Again a very busy day, so you get only a snapshot from the next coffee bar on the highway to Füssen / Bavaria.

Captured with a Nikon Df and a manual Nikkor Ai 50mm ƒ1:1.2, post processed in Lightroom using VSCO Film.

98/365 -Around the house - Day 98

----------------------------------------------------

Five Crows and a Mourning Dove on an old barn.

I'd call this suffering for my art, but given that my house doesn't have a river in the front room, I don't think I can complain too much.

The canopy of an Eastern Cottonwood (Populus deltoides) in the process of budding out.

Day 98 - Which Cake? Me? No!

No, I haven't touched it... really... and the cake is a lie anyway!

That was a really tough one today and I had a bit of trouble coming up with something, but when this one opened afterwards on the screen, even I had to smile at the goofy expression :o)

For Day 98 of 365, Lyrics, Text On and maybe Today's Random Fact.

Today's fact: I haven't slept lately. At all. Lots on my mind and then having to work really late Monday night because of the UNC game. Just not happening. So I'm exhausted in some respects. But wide awake in others.

The upside? I've done a lot of writing lately. Book folks are gonna like hearing that.

"Breathe" by Anna Nalick

2 a.m. and she calls me cause I'm still awake

Can you help me unravel my latest mistake

I don't love him and winter just wasn't my season.

Yea we walk through the doors so accusing their eyes

Like they have any right at all to criticize

Hypocrites you're all here for the very same reason.

Cause you can't jump the track

We're like cars on a cable and life's like an hourglass glued to the table,

No one can find the rewind button girl

So cradle your head in your hands

And breathe, just breathe, whoa breathe just breathe

May he turned 21 on the base of Fort Bliss

Just today he sat down to the flask in his fist

Ain't been sober since maybe October of last year

Here in town you can tell he's been down for while

But my God it's so beautiful when the boy smiles

Wanna hold him but maybe I'll just sing about it

Cause you can't jump the track

We're like cars on a cable

And life's like an hourglass glued to the table,

No one can find the rewind button boys so cradle your head in your hands

And breathe, just breathe, whoa breathe, just breathe

There's a light at each end of this tunnel you shout cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out

And these mistakes you've made

You'll just make them again if you'll only try turnin' around

2 a.m. and I'm still awake writing this song

If i get it all down on paper it's no longer inside of me threaten' the life it belongs to.

And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd

Cause these words are my diary screamin' out aloud

And I know that you'll use them however you want to.

But you can't jump the track

We're like cars on a cable

And life's like an hourglass glued to the table,

No one can find the rewind button now

Sing it if you understand...and brethe, just breathe, whoa breathe, just breathe, whoa breathe, just breathe, whoa breathe, just breathe

Isn’t it funny how time doesn’t stop for anything?

It just keeps ticking, as we wish for even a five-minute break.

A break from feeling helpless,

A break from feeling impending doom,

A break from feeling broken.

What we wouldn’t give to turn back time,

when we feel like it’s running out.

How our entire soul aches,

for peace and understanding,

in our darkest time of sorrow.

Feel the hand on your shoulder,

as God endures the days with you

and gives you strength when you have none.

Hope now and fear later.

Hope now, that tomorrow will be a better day

and yesterday stays past.

God didn't promise days without sorrow,

laughter without sadness or sun without rain.

But God did promise strength for those who are weary,

comfort for the tears and light for the way.

And all who believe in his kingdom above,

He answers their faith with everlasting love.

An end to cancer is not far away,

It will be here someday... someday. Everything’s going to Be OK!!

TGIF and have a great weekend! :)

98:365 sorry its a day late - big plans waylaid by having LEFT my Mac at the office (but taken yesterday)

This will probably be my only entry for this week's theme Contronym - which will now become the word that will not be named.

3. Left can mean either remaining or departed.

Please ignore the hipster, seemingly stoned guitar player and smirking exiter - decent models are SO hard to find!

... for your good KARMA:-)))

Day 98 2015

A wren in full song it impresses me how loud these little birds can sing.
