I took Ruger downtown for some distraction training, this morning. This is him quietly watching a delivery man across the street unload his truck. He's such a good fella!

The rainy drive home from visiting Mom over Easter weekend.

Hope you are having a wonderful week! I am so behind but I will get a chance to catch up soon!

European Starling

Sturnus vulgaris

----------------------------------------------------

Often regarded as a pest, the Starling wins grudging admiration from Cornell Labs for its adaptability, toughness, and seeming intelligence. Brought to North America in 1890, it has spread to occupy most of the continent, and is now abundant in many areas. Sociable at most seasons, Starlings may gather in immense flocks in fall and winter. When the flocks break up for the breeding season, males reveal a skill for mimicry, interrupting their wheezing and sputtering songs with perfect imitations of other birds.

Another bus window snatch and grab picture. Actually I'm staggered at how good a phone shot out of a moving vehicle can be!

So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains

Where the spirits go now,

Over the hills where the spirits fly, ooh.

I really don't know.

Admin invites rather than award images please (my broadband is terrible)

Roy G. Bi...sorry no violet colored glass to complete the sequence.

o well

i'm not thrilled with this one anyway : )

A sampling of what my husband bought from the English section in the Fairway Market. Red Hook, NY. I wouldn't mind the custard, as you can see. ;-)

FYI: You can read about Spotted Dick here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spotted_dick.

This is my new picture for my 365 project for the weekly theme "Mondane Beauty".

Traveling home is mostly waiting, so your get only a quick shot from a calm fight back from Barcelona to a cold South of Germany.

Captured with a Nikon Df and a manual Nikkor Ai 35mm ƒ1:2, post processed in Lightroom using VSCO Film.

Day 95/365: 2015

The weekly theme is giving the mundane it's beautiful due. I think bread could be classed as a bit mundane.

# 33 in 100 x challenge - using my 'nifty fifty'

When I bought this lovely wholemeal loaf yesterday, I straight away got this image in my mind. It tasted as delicious as it looks.

Oh how I wish it were summer. I long for the warmth of the sun on my face and a soft gentle breeze in my hair. Sadly, winter seems to continuously claim it's territory. Perhaps spring will come today.

Here's wishing everyone a lovely spring day.

Project 365(2009)- Day 95

Just a simple shot of an ornament we have at home. I've always liked this object and the light hitting the wall in the background just appealed to me.

Not feeling too well today ;_;

Had a pretty cool day exploring this place with a friend today. Not too much around but it’s an interesting photo location nonetheless. Hopefully I can come back at some point to get some more pics in future!

www.flickr.com/photos/daverexwood/435080157/in/pool-sotts/ started a group called SOTTS. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Socks. Dave, the wunderkind of Flickr, took the first photo with the socks and then passed them to the beautiful Amber. From there, Amber sent the socks to the fabulous Maia who walked them over to bun in the oven Cherron who finally took them over to the gorgeous Chrissy. Chrissy decided to send them off to me. Joy! So this is my contribution to the group. Dyxie style. I couldn't wear the socks because of my gigantoid tattoo that is still healing. And plus, I have really fat legs. So there. I hope I didn't embarrass the group too horribly bad.
