Rainy day calls for some fun experimenting indoors! ;D I went to the paint store this morning and got a bunch of the paint sampler cards brought them home and arranged them in a circular arrangement. I set a clear glass bowl full of water on top of it and with dropper dropped water into the bowl creating the swells! I used the Distort--> twirl around the edges for more interest!
this one is for conni :)

Day 93/365: 2015
I have steered clear of the out of focus theme today, I couldn't get motivated.
I took the original of this a year ago and have been meaning to recreate it to get the background whiter and, in fact, get the whole thing brighter. I may have gone a bit too bright so the purple looks more violet or magenta but overall I am much more pleased with it. I will post the original in comments.
Correction: It's FREEZING! (It's currently -22 Celsius or about -8 Fahrenheit! BRRRR!)

This is my new picture for my 365 project for the weekly theme "Out Of Focus" and the next picture for my new 100 X project. My challenge is to find any X signs, symbols or crossing lines.
Love my holidays - and yes, it's time for family, so I'm catching up for your fine streams on Monday next week. Happy Easter for everybody.

FGR invades Toast - French Toast for evildog.
This was my inspiration.
She was a perfect model - this is our first shoot where I used food for a prop and she understood she wasn't supposed to eat it right away (she did get the French Toast as a reward; along with Bella who has to be locked up for every photo shoot because she tries to participate ;0). The problem is she forces herself to look away from the food so I can't get her to look at the camera.
Hesitated to take a candid street portrait as picture of the day, but finally I couldn't resist... This look...
For Day 93 of 365. And for Today's Random Fact. And for lyrics. And for text on photo thingy.
Today's fact: Got a little scare today when Austyn's school called in a bit of a panic saying they thought Austyn broke her nose. She was swinging on lunch room tables and fell and smacked her face on the ground. Blood everywhere. I rushed there and she was OK. Took her to urgent care (seen here) and got her checked out. All was good. You can see her poor little fat lip there. It had gone down quite a bit by the time I took this shot.
I've used this song before, but it was what I needed for today. Sorry.

"In My Arms" by Plumb
Your baby blues
So full of wonder
Your curley cues
Your contagious smile
And as i watch
You start to grow up
All I can do is hold you tight
Knowing clouds will rage up
Storms will race in
But you will be safe
In my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash around
But you will be safe
In my arms
Story books are full of fairy tales
Of kings and queens and the bluest skies
My heart is torn
Just in knowing
You'll someday see
The truth from lies
When the clouds will rage and
Storms will race in
But you will be safe
In my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash around
But you will be safe
In my arms
Castles they might crumble
Dreams may not come true
But you are never all alone
Because I will always
Always love you
When the
Clouds will rage up
Storms will race in
But you will be safe
In my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash around
But you will be safe
In my arms
In my arms
When the Wii first came out I bought myself a copy of Guitar Hero. I spent every waking moment playing along and channelling my inner Rock God.
Once I'd completed the game I was convinced that I was a natural musician so buying myself a guitar seemed a logical step.
To cut a long story short, because I wasn't playing anything remotely recognisable I gave up on that hair brained idea before the day was out.
It matches my sofa so I've kept it as an ornament and it sits in the corner of my room. I always new that it would come in handy one day :)

My Project365 photo, DAY 93, 28th July 07
Almost 60 Degrees called for a drop everything and go on a little hike! I *think* these are actually last years flowers, but they still shouted Spring to me!
In the spring and summer, these beautiful stilts nest in parts of West Texas. This was taken at the Sandia Wetlands in Balmorhea, Texas on a windy day.

Well, I started to copy David’s bathtub ninja…but Xavier’s comment on it about the Death of Marat took me on a tangent, copying a a different David.

...behind me, that many of you have asked is.. "Just how old is this girl?" Well, I've finally decided to answer your question. :) Excited? Probably not, but that's ok. ;-) I'm 16 yrs old and quite content. ^_^

I'm still a little unsure about this photo. I was trying to think up something to do with my age, but failed. =P So, this was one of those last minute shots. Hope you guys like it :)
the still water makes a great mirror for the sky.
My first take on the "landscape theme" - I'm going to like this theme since its my favorite photography subject.
Blossom No.3
For the past decade, I have lived in my present house and in that time I have only cut through the local park a few times. The park is a 2 min walk from my house. But this week, due to the 365 project I have actually spent time in there.
And who knew... There were ornamental gardens, a cultural garden, a bowling green and pavilion, tennis courts, a children's play area, a basketball area and loads of woodland full of wild plants and squirrels.
Bottom middle drawer holds a treasury of crayons, coloring books, bubbles, books and tiny creatures for the occasional visitor under 10 years old.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s celebration. Have a fabulous week rain or shine! :)
Monday is a holiday here in US to observe Presidents’ day so I have a 3-day-weekend. It’s always nice to have an extra day of play and rest :)
Out of focus blossoming apple tree shot through a sheer white curtain.
The blossoming apple trees symbolize hope of a bountiful harvest come Fall and to me the sunrise is always a sign of hope for the new day.
Hanging out at sunrise in my backyard with a sheer curtain. My blossoming apple tree is behind the fence along with the sunrise peeking through the branches.
F/A-18 Hornet flying past Opera House.
I reached there just in time.
There were actually 3 jets, they were flying in formation when they entered the harbour. I couldnt frame either Opera House or Harbour Bridge when they were in formation. but then they started doing acrobatics at low altitude individually. Though there is one in this shot, this one is my favorite!
Day 93 of 365
I really don't have a description for this one. Only that i like weird German electronic music... and this is what happens when I mix photography with weird German electronic music.
On the other hand, I'm all caught up uploading...sorry to flickr bomb my contacts.
We went to Wetherby today and I managed to get this shot before it started pouring down.

I told you I would come back with a different necktie. I like this "necktie" better than my earlier shot.

Day 93.
A bit of a non-shot for today. It's been raining a lot today and windy - really quite stormy but then, when I'd finally had enough and decided to go to have a bath to try and warm up, the sun came out.
It didn't last long but this was about as sunny as it got all day - and I didn't get to see it properly. I still had the bath and got warm and relaxed.
