As I was making a coffee this morning the sun was shining, and I noticed the grass sparkling outside.. I had to get a quick shot of it, now I'm going to have that coffee ; )

Love is in the Air! Two Tom Turkeys displaying to hens in my yard. I added a little bit of FotoSketcher effect.

Thanks all!

A picture that's hopefully appropriate for today, D-Day80 - it's the memorial to the Parachute Regiment at the National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire.

The emblem of the Airborne Forces is Bellerophon mounted on the winged horse Pegasus which features in the design of this memorial. There is also a figure of a paratrooper pulling in his bergen. The memorial sculptors are Charlie Langton for Pegasus and Mark Jackson, a former Major of the Parachute Regiment, for the human figures.

Day 80 2015

Just a quick post today! will catch up tomorrow.

You know our hearts beat time out very slowly

You know our hearts beat time they're waiting for something that'll never arrive

I wasn't thinking of it when I ran out into the hall...but there are some similarities to Maganzii's Immune shot from a couple of days ago.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery then chrismaverick should be flattered as hell by my copycat of his 365 pic for today ! As he well knows, I am soooo jealous of anyone with real equipment that, I'm actually green under the makeup! So I gathered up my little point 'n shoot camera, my stolen tripod, my dusty desk lamp, a tv tray table, some books, my Carnegie Mellon umbrella and set up my own little studio. Whadaya mean, it's not the same? Nuts!

p.s. Thanks for being a good sport son ;-)

I often saw this flower, Erigeron annuus in a vacant lot near my house when I was a child. Recently I almost never see the lot, but the flowers are blooming in a small space every year.

I enjoy jelly beans this time of year. I bought some of the "gourmet jelly beans" for fun, and I have to say I like some of the flavors. But then there are flavors like caramel corn or buttered popcorn or Dr. Pepper. The latter is best as a soda only! What is your favorite flavor of jelly bean?

my bf is not speaking to me

As if i need another thing to be stressed out about.

Ever since we had to put down our male Brittany last year, my daughter pretends that she is him and hangs out acting like a dog. Barking her answers and howling too. It's adorable but can be trying at times as she refers to herself as puppy.

I wish Daisy were more focused but there wasn't another shot as cute as this one so I just went with it.

Storm over South London's 'Eiffel' Tower.

I had to go to Edinburgh for a meeting today and thought I'd spend some time at the christmas market but it was pretty cold. My day started off badly because I decided on a whim to carry a load of raw data with me to save postage and it weighed a tonne, then I decided against a taxi reasoning that it was only a 5 minute walk to the bus stop, only then I found that all the bus stops have changed because of the tram building roadworks so I walked almost the length of Princes Steer before realising this was stupid and walked all the way back and another 10 minutes the other way until I found a bus stop I could use so I was just a bit late for my meeting and my back is seriously unimpressed with me!.

Similarly on the way back I thought I would try the big woolworths to see if they stocked the poster frames that the Stirling shop doesn't only to give up when I couldn't find a Woolies any where!! By then I was pretty annoyed and very cold and not at all in the winter festival spirit *bah humbug* ;)

For March's Monthly Scavenger Hunt.

Nature's shag pile! This wall is absolutely covered in long, soft moss. It's lovely and I hope the owners never decide to remove it all. It's like the inside of a tacky taxi!

A year ago today it was Stripy Saturday.

Looking North from the Froom Street bridge, Chorley. This shot was taken about 1/2 hour after sunset. Traces of light can still be seen on the horizon.

In a now dead tree. Tree has succumbed since the earthquakes 7-8 years ago due to the land dropping and it being in more salt water at high tide than it can tolerate. Now the local shag population has moved in to a suitable roost.

Crayons: My 22 month old son loves to draw. A few months ago he had a set of triangular shaped crayons which he essentially wanted to chew and ended up breaking all of them. Then in the past month or so, he learnt how to hold them and now he draws everywhere including on our furniture. :-)

This is his latest set of crayons.

Our Daily Challenge - O Captain, My Captain

80: 365

This was a difficult one for me. I have been shaped and changed by so many people.

The first person that changed my life was my daughter -

but by having her at the age of 19 - I was then influenced by my mom and the mom that she was to me.

If that makes sense.

So therefore I am me because of them (well all the good bits anyway) I take full responsibility for my short temper and the disorganised chaos in which I thrive.

The clouds are a shot I've been meaning to take I tried layering a couple of things in but failed so it is a little bit of a Boom!

"We're all made of stories. ... When they finally put us underground, the stories are what will go on. Not forever, perhaps, but for a time. It's a kind of immortality, I suppose, bounded by limits, it's true, but then so's everything."

I like ripped jeans with flowers, and pairing chartreuse with magenta and teal. Deal. ;-P

Finalllllly, lazy Friday afternoon after a ridiculous week.

Waiting for my <3 to swoop in from NY so we can eat ourselves silly this weekend. :)

This is not the sound of a new man or crispy realization

It's the sound of the unlocking and the lift away

Your love will be safe with me

I know it's poorly edited, but I really don't care. I like the concept.
