The unpredictable Michigan weather

I shot this yesterday, but today 3-12-22 is Day 75 for our rare Yellow-throated warbler! And March is kicking us in the bee-hind after being 80oF a week ago - howling winds and storms all night, a dusting of SNOW this morning, topping out at 35oF with gusting winds all day, and heading down to about 20oF (yikes!) tonight. Daffodils are laying flattened all over our yard, while greening-out hydrangeas, early Asiatic lilies and blooming pear trees & Japanese magnolias will not like the temps tonight. We covered the most sensitive flowers that are up. I know a lot of you to our West and up to the Northeast have it much worse. Stay warm out there!

This is Navan Fort in Co Armagh were the Kings and Queens of Ulster ruled in years gone by.

Yes, there are the good sides of rain, too. There was so many droplets dripping all around my garden, I didn't know where to turn my camera. So I'm afraid you might be subjects to a few more droplet pictures in the next couple of days.

Yay, got my new game today. May The Force be with you!

Have a good week, all, whatever the weather :) xo

Once again I was super busy today. Running around in the morning and preparing for a shoot in the afternoon. The Shoot was DOPE!!! Alexcia was a joy to work with, such a natural. I had a blast and I love this job because it never feels like work! Day74/365 #project365 - Alexcia

74/365 -Around the house - Day 74

A girl can never own too much makeup. ;)

Captured on my morning walk along the Glen Abbey Trail.

I was trying to come up with a fun image for negative space so I was on the ground looking up and who should wander in to say hi but sweet Daisy. Not sure if it works for negative space but I thought it was definitely a funny POV. Have a great day!

Oh look at how she listens

She says nothing of what she thinks

She just goes stumbling through her memories

Staring out on to Grey Street

She thinks, "Hey,

How did I come to this?

I dream myself a thousand times around the world,

But I can't get out of this place"

There's an emptiness inside her

And she'd do anything to fill it in

But all the colors mix together - to grey

And it breaks her heart

How she wishes it was different

She prays to God most every night

And though she swears he doesn't listen

There's still a hope in her he might

Today I wanted to collaborate. So I did, with Tommy_V, he's fun. He can be very busy but when he finds time to play, he often steals the spotlight.

I woke up at a reasonable hour so off I traipsed with tripod, camera backpack and hat and sunglasses to see what I could find. I spent too long at the first spot and missed the shot I was after at the second spot 15 minutes down the road so this nice welcome to the weekend will have to do.

And for the first time in about five weeks, I'm up to date with my 365! Hooray.

For the 365 Days self-portrait project. Inspired by pic seen here.

At Doncaster Railway Station, South Yorkshire.

Day 74

We baked cookies together today. She was waiting for them to cool here.

The house smelled soooo good!

When the weather gives you non-stop rain, find some puddles.

We've had so much rain this week so when I was in town

this afternoon, I went in search of puddles and wasn't

disappointed.

Nothing like a cold, wet and snowy Christmas day to have some fun with some parts and my Terminator skull!

Great boxed alley. Felt like the walls were closing in. But unfortunately the stench of Saturday night was a bit oppressive.

Bleh, I feel icky today. So here's a photo of a piggie tucked in.

Day 74

22nd October

Another afternoon of sewing, this time by hand as I'd finished the stage that needed to be done on the sewing machine....I love pins, especially these ones with the lovely coloured heads :)

I bought myself this little tin of pins from the craft shop in our local town....so sweet :)

This is on shutter priority using the light from our little standard lamp shot as close as I could get with my 55mm lens....I can't wait till I can get my next lens!

Day 74. Play catch up. Katchup. Ketchup.

I'm indescribably exhausted, thank god tomorrow is friday. Happy Saint Patty's Day.

And I had totally meant to say this earlier. But pray for Japan. Pray for the people there because we're all in this together through thick or thin.

I think it's incredible how united the world becomes when disaster strikes. Everyone drops everything and comes to the needys' aid. It's just incredible.

I would like to go to fireworks events wearing these Japanese sandals with you in this summer.

It's Mother's Day here in the UK so I thought I'd do a Mother's Day related photo. I thought this suited a high key look, not sure if I've gone a little overboard but I quite like it like this.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there!

The beginning of a promising March day just 8 minutes post-sunrise.
