Day 73:
You know the drill. Every 14th of February you get the chance to display your fondness for a significant other by showering her with gifts, flowers, dinner, shows and any other baubles that women find romantic. Every Valentines day you rack your brains for that one special, unique gift that will show your wife or girlfriend that you really do care for them more than any other. Now ladies, I'll let you in on a little secret; guys really don't enjoy this that much. Sure seeing that smile on your face when we get it right is priceless, but that smile is the result of weeks of blood, sweat and consideration. Another secret; guys feel left out. That's right, there's no special holiday for the ladies to show their appreciation for the men in their life. Men as a whole are either too proud or too embarrassed to admit it.
Which is why a new holiday has been created.
March 14th is now officially "Steak and Blowjob Day". Simple, effective and self explanatory, this holiday has been created so you ladies finally have a day to show your man how much you care for him.
No cards, no flowers, no special nights on the town; the name of the holiday explains it all, just a steak and a BJ. Thats it. Finally, this twin pair of Valentine's Day and Steak and Blowjob Day will usher in a new age of love as men everywhere try THAT much harder in February to ensure a memorable March 14th!
The word is already beginning to spread, but as with any new idea, it needs a little push to start the ball rolling. So spread the word, and help bring love and peace to this crazy world. And, of course, steak and BJ's.

The wind was blowing and it all but destroyed the only dandelion seed head that I found in the yard. I brought it inside and gently handled the seedy treasure that remained. I find there are certain subjects I always love - vw buses, giraffes and dandelions.

I went over to Leeds this evening to see my very good friend Lib and take her out for dinner as it was her birthday a couple of days before. We had a great time and it was lovely to see her again. After dinner I had a walk round Leeds with the camera and got this shot of what I initally thought was the Civic Hall but I now know is the Town Hall (thanks !John!). It looked nice all lit up anyway. Then I managed to get stuck in Leeds network of roads...I always get lost coming out of Leeds!
This wadded up piece of paper, a page off a page-a-day calendar from this past weekend, is a way to show my disdain for the whole misguided concept of Daylight Saving Time, which I can only hope will soon be discarded in the United States.

Day 73 ~ 365: the 2013 edition

One of those people would be me. I hate it but I like it at the same time. I realize I tend to be one of those people who usually walk a different path but sometimes I wish I could just conform to the "trend" or to "fit in" but I realize then I would lose Kendra. I like who I am, I'm proud of being me but sometimes I just wish I would've "found myself" with other people who are more like me. I have a couple people I find to be very close to my heart but most are far away in distance. I just wonder sometimes what it would be like to have friends actually.
Let's just say being social as I've said a hundred times for some reason just never has been very easy for me. I keep hoping I will get better at it but at the same time, I just .. don't know.

It was a cold and damp day and my auto-focus chose to act up at this moment; I was very disappointed at how this cycle reflection shoot was turning out and I deleted the rest while still in camera.
Two months later, I don't feel too bad about this one.
chicken afritada is a spanish inspired philippine dish . it consists mainly of chicken which is fried (spanish: fritada) before being stewed in tomato sauce. since mine is a leftover dish i sort of tweaked the recipe by adding fresh basil and a touch of five spice while reheating. the result is simpy marvelous
I had the most delightful telephone conversation with this beautiful lady last night. Bella, this one's for you. Thank you so much for the 3 1/2 hours of pure joy. You are an amazing woman who I am proud to call my friend. *mwah*
