One day my shutter speed will be set correctly to catch this lil dude crystal clear…that’s my goal this summer. I swear they hop around more than any other bird except for maybe the hummer.
Day 61:
The Last Laugh
There are some people
who would rather be right
than happy
as though making a point
was more fun than
having a good time
These are the people
who risk their lives
to get the last laugh
even though it isn't
funny.

Our Daily Challenge - Optimism or Pessimism
61:365
You got to know that I live life on the happy side!
Happy Saturday :)
anche troppo per i miei gusti -.-"
confession: just in case you didn't notice it yet, I'm abasolutley methereopathic and I hate rain and black clouds. bad weather make me go depressed and insane, so keep away from me when it's rainy. I bite.

March 2nd. Last day of street photos (yes!) and still to get the theme of myths and legends in for 52:2013. I took #2 and 3 into town to stand on the cracks on the pavement. But it's a myth. They did not get attacked by crocodiles. However, they were mortally wounded by the embarrassment of their mother sitting on the roadside taking pictures of their feet. I mono converted this and then added my fave blue tint.
I asked my friend Larry what I should do for my self-portrait today, and he said "a silhouette." So here it is.
Day 61/365: 2015

"X" is for Xeroxed Kisses and Smiles! Wow, X is a hard letter! My thanks to chrismaverick for today's idea, because I was stumped!
Things to celebrate today:
~Good health and good life
~Good times with friends
~Though super-duper busy at work, thankful I have a job! :)
~Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States of Amercia - President Barack Obama, woohoo!! Yes we can and yes we will!! Well done Pres.Obama and good luck! God bless you and may you lead this nation wonderfully and wisely!
I’m really busy at work and it gets in the way of Flickring hahaha! See you in a few days dear friends, take care and don’t be a stranger! Cheers! :)
Explore Front Page! Thank you! :)
Broke something else during today's shoot - my cheap ebay transmitter shattered when my dubiously balanced tripod fell over. Could've been worse I suppose - it's my cheapest bit of kit. (Although I also smashed the driver's side wing mirror on my car when reversing out of the drive last night! Doh!...). But it means I'll have to scale back the strobism until the replacement arrives... :-( Although I've gone for 3 receivers with the new one which should open up some new possibilities!!
Ominous moody skies out there today. A hangover from Halloween I suppose.
Speaking of which, would you believe we had no trick or treaters last night?! We're now lumbered with a huge bag of candy and no one to eat it but ourselves... (ahem).
Lighting: Metered on the sky then pulled the exposure one stop. 580EXII (1/4 power) on tripod to camera right. Vivitar 3500 to camera left, low down. Fired with cheap eBay wireless triggers.
Don't have any commentary to go with it either.. I saw these as I pulled up in my drive way, saw the light falling on it and I hadn't got my shot for the day, so these dry flowers came to the rescue.
It wasn't really a photography sort of day today but it was St. David's Day so we made some welshcakes to celebrate.
I went to the produce market. The winter fruits still hang on...pears and apples and citrus. Fresh strawberries are beginning to trickle in, however. I'm looking forward in a month or two...the first of the apricots, then cherries, peaches and plums.
It's warm today...feels like spring.
i've been holding it off for a few months until i found a chance, last week, to give this new roast chicken store a try and boy, it was good!
Thanks to the marvelously talented and generous Tony, I've been upgraded to a Pro Account! I think it was the best way to start my day and kept my mind off of the doctor's visit. x)
So once again, THANK YOU TONY! You're incredible.

Doctor's visit went smoothly. I still hate barium swallows.
While my sister was getting her haircut, the hairstylist kept nagging at me to get one too. Apparently I have "old lady" hair. Aha, I'm never going there again.
61/365 -Around the house - Day 61
---------------------------------------------------
Not all the snow melted a few days ago when we had a couple days of 40° F. The past 2 days of bitter cold and powerful winds are making a lion roaring entry for March. 27°F, wind chill factor of 14° today. I was out there. Invigorating.
