He came down close and posed for a series of photos on Day 50 - in the late day sun. (Today will be Day 52 when I see him.) An elusive warbler even in warm months that stays high in the pines or sycamores - we are blessed to have him. >> our North Georgia yard, two days ago (2-15-22)

Taken for ODT: The end
3/52: 52 Weeks of No Colour
Today I knew exactly what I wanted to shoot and was hoping for the skies to stay clear.. I even told a friend about it.. well, it was just a matter of finding time to go out and shoot.. dropped off the family back home after attending a social event and out I rushed.. wish I had gotten out during the blue hour.. oh well.
Had to make a composite since the long exposure totally blew out the detail in the moon..
Thanks for your views and comments, and keep your constructive criticism coming as well.. I truly appreciate it.
Good Night all
50/365 -Around the house - Day 50
----------------------------------------------------
All day precipitation, light to medium, fresh flakes sticking.
Didn't know if I could capture the flakes, not sure if I did or if that is just yuck on the lens. It seemed plausibly spaced.

Day 50 of 365 in the life of Jenna
California sunsets are beautiful. I'm having the most amazing time of my life here. Tomorrow Matt & I go visit my sister in L.A. I'm soooo excited to see her!!! My two favorite people in the world are in California =( But, I get to be with them both, at once, for a few days!!!
Steps to take when you're out of ideas for your 365:
1. Lay on the floor
2. Strike a pose
3. Hope for the best
Thirty years ago I produced a lot of paintings, prints and drawings on my way to earning a BFA and while working towards my MFA. The work stayed crated in a friend's warehouse for three decades until my friend called to tell me the warehouse was slated for demolition. Last week I went and retrieved my work.
Now that it is in the studio, I don't know if I want to open it. I'm a photographer now, not a painter. Not a printmaker. A photographer. I take photographs to amuse my creative soul. I create funnies to amuse my friends. Art? Bah. Spit. What is art? Overblown pretentious constructions of ego. I don't think I will ever try to create art again.

I bought some fruit yesterday at the grocery store and was a little surprised at the size of this strawberry. The orange is a cutie so it is fairly small but the kiwi is normal sized. I tried practicing some light painting to try to show the differences in texture in each of these fruits.
Off to cut them up for breakfast so no second takes.
ODC - simple pleasures - I love fresh fruit and would take fresh berries any day over candy, even chocolate.
DAY 50!!!
YAY!
Can you believe that I actually made it to day 50 without missing a day?!? I know I don't.
I really don't like the picture though, but I'm busy now.
I had a dream last night that if two colorblind people had a baby it would turn out green.
It kinda makes sense, mathematically, since two minuses make a plus.
Oh, and if you haven't seen it already, go watch Running With Scissors. It's brilliant.
Day 50 of 366!!!
[29.09.09]
So 50 days down, 315 to go.
I had this great idea for my 50th photo, but unfortunately I didn't have time for it, I'll save it for some other time. So I did this instead.
I was talking to my dad on the phone the other night and he suggested I do something with mirrors, so here I am following his advice (not for the first time).
This was however not the easiest to get *right*. Since I couldn't see through the camera while being in view AND holding the mirror at an angle that *might* work.
But anyway, it's processed a bit different to most of my shots, I wanted to try something new. I think it looks ok.
Oh and I used this texture, you can't see much of it but it's subtle effect was vital ;P
So i put my hands up,
said 'enough is enough'.
so stressed,
trying to be in a million places at once.
today was rough, my knees are on fire and my head is in the same boat.
maybe something will come along and put me up on my feet.
i just want to make you happy, you know that.
Goodnight and God bless.
day50_reading
Lazy Sunday reading the 'Light Show' from the Hayward Gallery exhibition (March 2013) of the same name, interesting read.
I was going to quit on day fifty of posting flies, but I got too many good ones last night with my new Sony A350 DSRL and Minolta 75-300 lens. With my Raynox DCR-250 macro adapter, it gets a little bit closer than I ever could before, but is very hard to use at this magnification.
I'm forever blowing bubbles.
The kids were over yesterday and they left a tube of bubbles. Since it was a nice sunny day I took them into the back garden for today's SP. My neighbours now officially think I am nuts.
'Mommy why is that lady taking pictures of herself?'
Day 50/365: 2015
For the weekly challenge - reflection
# 17 of my 100 X Challenge - using my 50mm
It's actually a cheese knife but that didn't sound as good for a title. Once again I've resorted to low key as it's been a wet miserable day.
Wow......made it to day 50
Good=bye cozy little dining room/photo studio!
Yes, this is where most of the shots that you see me do here on Flickr were done. At or near my dining room table, now history.

Day 50 already!
I take photos in Raw and jpeg. Usually I use a film simulation on the jpeg which means the colour rendition on the two varies slightly. This is especially so on the infrared camera. The first thing I do, is alter the white balance as the images are red due to the infrared filter. This creates a different spectrum of colours and tones in the RAW and jpeg files. This is another shot from my garden, of a series of neighbours' gardens up the road. Today, I liked the tones of the jpeg file and decided to saturate them rather than hide them.
Sometimes it's good to play.
I've decided to keep practicing my long exposure photography today.we had only popped to the shops in Lyngseidet and on the way back I spotted this small hut and seeing as it was still blue hour I decided to have a go. Sadly I couldn't get down to the beach but this'll do.
Day 50/365
Look! It's my little tree again. :D
This title reminds me of "hopelessly devoted to you..." you know, the song by Olivia Newton-John in Grease? :D :D
Dancer, has to be the most incredibly puppy/dog. I call her a puppy because she acts like one, but she's wonderful and utterly, completely and totally devoted which is why I chose this, because the look she is giving Sasha is what you get from her all the time. If you call her, she runs so fast she skids half of the time!
Today was the second early morning this morning. Not that 7.30AM is early, but after a 5AM start and long day, I was exhausted! However, this morning we had waterskiing! I woke up to see it bucketing with rain, literally. Talk about challenging my desire to go. But off I went and it was incredible… hard but brilliant.
It pretty much rained on and off all day, but at one point while Sasha and I were doing this, the sun came out and it was utterly fantastic. It was incredibly calm and the clouds were the most beautiful they've been for ages!
I love sun! <3
