day43

we had a valentine's breakfast on the pier, walked by the water and ended with wet feet. :)

Peter has been working on this for weeks - I am amazed at his tenacity! 800 pieces, 64x49cm.

Have a fantastic week dear friends! Thank you for all your warm birthday greetings and wishes! I'm celebrating my birthday drinking mimosas with hubby and watching sunset! :)

A match - that pretty much sums it up...

Fairytale Sunday! Modern day Sleeping Beauty? I don't own a spindle so this would be the next best thing ;D

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend :)

Day 43

My poor camera is in for a desperately needed sensor cleaning this afternoon, so I used this photo booth picture we took today, as my 366 Project picture.

Our Daily Challenge - Street Signs

43:365

So what happens when you live on a dirt road, leave home (without your camera) at 6am, get home 6pm. Had a day full of street signs and dodgy drivers sans camera?

Answer: You just wing it . . . . . . . .

...well, sort of. My colleague and I went out for a bite of lunch today (and a good gossip) at a lovely place called The Circle Cafe, in Canonmills, Edinburgh. We both opted for the special of the day - this lovely plate of salmon and prawn fishcakes with salad and homemade tartare sauce. Yummy!

Project 365 (2009) - Day 44

The town is being redeveloped slowly, but the moon remains unchanged.

day 44 - tiny square ...

I just like all the white :]

View On White

I love this photo as much as the other one I took. Sometimes I wish I could use two shots for my 365 *sigh*

For my 30th birthday last week, Sarah got me this journal :D

It's fantastically creative, although I fear it's going to be a difficult task for me to accomplish. I usually keep things (especially books) in as near as mint condition as I possibly can. The thought of - shock! - having to rip out a page scares me something silly! I just know it's going to be damn fun though :D

Thanks chick x

Oh, and I'm purposefully avoiding the How To Wreck A Journal flickr group so as not to corrupt my own destructive ideas....

(Confused by the star? It's for this group - check it out!)

[43/365]

Got back from Austin today. I already miss seeing my sister.

Inspired by this picture!

Day 43/365

"Each book holds its magic, a magical world I yearn to lose myself in and discover each new magical moment."

A new backdrop - for once, not in a field, or wood... however much I love them. This is one of my favourite rooms in the house, the library is full of books. Hundreds of books, each with enough stories and knowledge to keep me content.

I took quite a few other shots which I'll upload because I can't resist. Add me on Twitter to make sure you don't miss them: www.twitter.com/oliviabell

I live in a town that has terribly hard, nasty tasting water. Even filtering it doesn't make it great to drink. The city finally put it to a vote and they are replacing our well water with another source. My water bottle delivery might be coming to an end soon.

have a great weekend everyone x

#day43 #43of365 A walk along the river path again, for a change, up through Ringshill Farm, Starkey Castle and Ivy Cottage to the North Downs Way. It's fine now; but will be a quagmire on Tuesday when the temperature rises.

043 :: 365 :: 12th February 2013 :: EXPLORED #231

Edit: Week 7 Theme :: Focus Pocus

ODC :: Out of Focus :: 11.02.2013

Maddy and her Christmas Bunny, her gift for Christmas a few years ago. She still has a place at the end of her bed.

When I saw the ODC challenge I was instantly reminded of a Flickr friend who has not been to Flickr for over a year, her name is Michelle and her soft focus photography is definitely a work of art, if you have some time pop over and check out her work.

Edit: Didn't realise the Week 7 theme is also soft focus related, so guess one image fits two challenges.

First time I got my blood taken for some analysis. HORRIBLE.

But the breakfast later was worth it, I guess.

They better have enough with the blood they took out today for the rest of my life cause I'm not doing it again. NO.

Btw, it's also my first dyptich :)

Bullheaded boy with nothing to show

My ears are deaf to what I don't know

The older I get stupidity grows

Yeah I don't care, I don't wanna know

I know it doesn't look so hot

It wasn't my best shot

Oh yeah if you only knew

That again and again we fall

I wanna know what I wanna know...

Curse what I know nothing about

It doesn't make you right

Oh yeah if you only knew

That again and again we fall

I wanna know what I wanna know...

Some days are better than others. I took this photo as a symbolic representation of the struggle from making it day to day in life. As happy and warm as I can make life seem, I want to pay homage to and bring attention to how much pain, loss, and suffering many people are experiencing in these current moments.

country girl, basic model shoot. day 43 didn't provide me for time to invest in greatness. it worked out okay for her portfolio!

I am definitely running of of idea here as you can see. Plus I narrowed my choices for today's 365days pic down to four, but I couldn't decide. So put all of that together, and this is what you get infliced with!

Low Key Theme - While I'm trying to think outside the (soft) box, I haven't been too successful with the results. Hopefully I'll get something more creative posted before theme's end. In the meantime please enjoy these flowers.
