These roses were fully opened on February 2nd and were too heavy for their slender stems and were touching the ground. So here they are in a tall slender cobalt blue vase.

Day 33 - February 2, 2021
im really happy with how this turned out :)BLK
Contemplated a crop but i think cutting out the lights on the left would have been a ruiner.
Like many of you, I was snowed in, went shovelling, and I lost my Chucks.
Help me find them, press L

Well, there are plenty of pink things around our house, and Bunny even has a lovely pinkish glow to her in the right lighting, so there wasn't a need, per se, for anything new, but when I saw this sign at the store this afternoon, I knew it had to be purchased. It suits the princess pretty well, I think!
You can read more about Bunny, and her love of pink, at TalesAndTails.com.
The wait continues.... and, its going to get much, much colder tomorrow... BTW, what did the groundhog predict?
I had this place in mind, and I wanted one of my kids to pose for me in one of those swings at the far end, but it was a bit chilly plus both kids have a nasty cold.. didn't want to torture them any more..!!!!
Thanks for your visit and comments, they're truly appreciated.
Halfway Down
Halfway down the stairs
Is a stair where i sit.
there isn't any other stair quite like it.
i'm not at the bottom,
i'm not at the top;
so this is the stair where I always stop.
Halfway up the stairs
Isn't up, and isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery, It isn't in town.
And all sorts of funny thoughts
Run round my head.
“It isn't really anywhere!
It's somewhere else instead!”

Found these great truffles yesterday on clearance at Costco and my sweet son bought them for me. I used my kit lens with the 7 mm extension tube and lit this with my homemade lightbox and a desk lamp.
Light snow today. Just enough to make everything white again but not enough to shovel. My kind of winter.

Spoiler alarm: for an alternative shot, just look at my photo stream!
Oh wow, explored! :-D
My 7th one in total and my fourth facedown!
Sooo. I got a WHOLE bunch of pictures of me on this swing in Asheville NC. BUT. They're in RAW files. And I'm using my netbook. So I can't use the RAW files.
So I found this RAW files converter online, but I couldn't view the pictures. So I had to randomly pick pictures to convert.
... And it takes 7 minutes to convert one image. So I decided I'd just do one, use it no matter what, try and make it cool, and then use the cool ones once I get home tomorrow.
So this dumbness happened.
Blah. D=<
Not much of a day in Sydney for shooting out of doors so decided to find something that would suit HDR
Might just also work for this weeks them of Something Old ... but then again, maybe not ;-)
I had a clear idea for today's shot - but I couldn't get it to work due to the crappy skies out there today. This is my back up effort, which I'm not entirely happy with - but that's life. :)

A jump from 31 to 33 - will post the others later :) This was taken during our day out at the beach last Saturday. Not as fun as we'd expected - it was too hot and humid. We tried to coax adeeb to come closer to the water, but he was having too much fun playing with the sand, as far as possible from the water.
For the Macro Monday Group's Weekly Theme.... NUMBers.
Get it? NUMB-ers? Ice makes you cold... and NUMB. It's a NUMB-er.
I'm SO freaking creative, it kills me. :-P

Yeah, I can smile. Sometimes. Abigail took this one (no lie). She wanted to see how to do it, and used the remote trigger --- several times. I told her I thought this was the best picture ever taken of me.
(not to confuse anyone, i had the camera and lighting already set up, and was taking pictures, abigail came down and wanted to take pictures as well; so, i don't want to give the impression that she did everything; she jsut pressed the shutter -- but still got a great shot off).
