Lucky for me i already have a whole lot of photo's i took in the hope that one day i could turn them into real textures !! So this was a fantastic challenge Kim !! I had fun creating these.
I tried them all out on a photo to see if they would work, they did :)

I've been tagged by the lovely Erika. Her list cracked me the hell up.
1. I'm originally from Indiana. After my freshman year of college, I moved to the DC area for a temporary Summer nanny position. Temporary turned into a current 6.5 years.
2. Sport movies make me cry. Even the cheesy ones! Angels in the Outfield? Check. Brian's Song? Check. Actually, that one is legitimate. If you didn't cry while watching that, you are probably a robot that sheds shards of glass instead of tears and I don't want to be friends with you unless you are a robot that will clean my toilet.
3. I wish I could have lived in the 40's. Dancing, red lipstick and hats? All fantastic things. I realize those are all things that can be done/used now, but it doesn't have the same magic.
4. Breastfeeding, natural childbirth and midwives are all things I think are awesome.
5. I feel incredibly lucky to be a mother.
6. A perfect meal for me is sushi and a beer. Or just the beer. That's ok, too.
7. I don't like really soft bread. Like, white bread. It sticks to the roof of my mouth and grosses me out! You know those kids in elementary school that would roll up bread into bread balls? I kind of wanted to punch them in the face.
8. Someday, I WILL own a goat. Mostly, because I think they are cute and like that they could mow my lawn for me.
9. John Mayer creeps me out.
10. I say "your mom" to my husband way too often.
Too much outside shooting lately and it was getting late. Luckily, Curly Mae decided to be cute tonight. Really needs a trim!

Okay Flickrverse, you've gone and made me do it. I was finally forced to spend over an hour making a prop that may never see the light of day again just to get one themed photo.

This is total shite, but I could only take one shot of my screen before my laptop turned itself off. I was hoping to get a shot of the dreaded blue screen or maybe the hard disk failure screen, but the damn machine stubbornly refused to even turn on after this. At any rate, here is a craptastic shot that explains why I will not be online more than a few minutes here and there for the next several days.

Fish Quay, North Shields. I came here to get a photo of the lovely sunset sky. I had just parted with £266 to fix my car after it failed it's MOT :-(
One of my husband's hobbies is salt water fish tanks. We have two tanks in the basement. One is a 400 gallon that contains many aggressive fish (lionfish, triggers, angels, tangs, etc) and the other is a 180 gallon reef tank. Above is a picture of some polyps that are in the reef tank.
I am sure throughout the year you will see lots of creatures, corals and fish pictures in my stream :)

that girl...that girl, goddamn.
if fluffs and sunshine and ponies and weirdness all mushed into a gooey ball of delight, it would be her. being around her is always so surreal, she's the happiest girl i've ever met in my life, and she's so innocent! or, that's what i thought for the longest time. then one day she comes up to me and goes, "ALIXI!! (crushing hug) so..i met this guy last night." and she goes on, without a qualm in the world to describe some..very lewd things; things i would even raise my eyebrows at, all without losing that fucking angelic twinkle in her cat eyes.
but, that's groovy, you know, whatever. i can dig it.
but then, a few days later, we were going to lunch, and she reaches in the back and throws me her purse. i open a box inside, and it is filled with marijuana. THIS GODDAMN INNOCENT ANGEL OF A GIRL, WITH THE BRIGHT EYES AND LAUGHTER OF THE FECKING HEAVENLY REALMS HAS A PURSE FULL OF WEED.
and then it all comes out that, "alixi, you smoke weed, so i thought i would try it. i love it!!"

FUCK ME FUCK ME ORKHDSFBKHBGSKHFB GKHSFG I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS GIRL'S DOWNFALL?! OH, NO, NO, I DO NOT ACCEPT IT. i've never been more astonished by anything in my life, this girl i barely know is watching me and DID SOMETHING BECAUSE I DO?!!!!!?!!!!!?? it's the worst feeling in the world, don't ever, ever do anything like that, it taught me that people are always watching and WATCH WHAT YOU FUCKING DO, PEOPLE. :S
this was about four months ago (and it still makes me uncomfortable to think about it, i mean, i WASN'T advertising it or anything, by god; i even asked about fifteen people the next day, and all their answers were along the lines of, "no, it's just a fact. alixi writes poetry, alixi is passionate, alixi smokes weed. it's just normal." so, i don't want to hear any rubbish about that. :S) and she wants me to shoot her tomorrow.
she's still the bubbly being she was before, but this time it was accentuated with a very sharp, "so, i'm gonna roll us a FAT blunt, i've got this kush and it's gonna fuck you up!"
.............i don't like it.
i don't like knowing i was partially responsible for it.
it makes me feel terrible; it gives me a responsibility i don't want.
now i feel obligated to play mother, for fucksake.

in other news: swine (his actual name is fluharty (he goes by his last name), but i call him swine - i find it hilarious.) is still being gentlemanly. we're having a quentin tarantino marathon next week, and i'm going to shoot him.

Lockdown Day 29
There's something about kneading dough by hand, it's calming, it's meditative, it's soothing and it's.....well, painful! My wrists won't thank me tomorrow but my Kitchenaid has died, just when I turned it on to knead. 😔 Oh well, I'll have great biceps and hopefully the bread will be fine 😏
same story: busy, busy, busy, blah, blah, blah, no time for photo or sleep. why do we need to sleep anyway? I vote for banishing sleep and still being able to function properly.
Anyway, this is from last weekend when my little sis came into town. The other two are Chris and Monti. This is what happens at my house somewhere around 6am, when there is no sleep. Haha, we thought it'd be fun :)

Day 29 ~ 365.2015
So week 4 is abstraction. Forget about the rules, forget about focus, go abstract. It is a great way of breaking your habits. Abstraction is also a great way to show emotions through a picture. Nothing has to be in order, nothing has to be explained.
Rez HD was released today, and immediately purchased for the xbox.
