item collaboration: day 20/31 -- "scarf"
Sooo I've pretty much been slacking/skipping around on this item collab thing >< Oh well.
My mom made chococat's scarf because I told her he was getting cold since it was winter :P Isn't it cute? (:
A quick trawl through the 365 group has revealed many extraordinary and very good eclipse shots.
This is not one of them - but it does have birds in it!
a quick scoot out of work shot with the phone - cropped and tidied in pixlemator (that counts for the 100x group number 25)
and 65/115 - Up on the Roof
and for the 39 for the 215 gang - I had most fun listening to the London reports!!

Montes Apenninus and Montes Caucasus imaged on day 20 of the lunar cycle. Montes Appenninus formed 3.9 billion years ago and reaches an elevation of 5.4km. To the north are Montes Caucasus which reach an elevation of 6km. To the west is Mare Imbrium with the large crater Archimedes at 81km diameter.
This picture it's a self portrait and it was inspired by this: "The Japanese say you have three faces. The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends, and your family. The third face, you never show anyone. It is the truest reflection of who you are."
The main light was the Westcott Rapid Box Octa with a Nikon SB910 at 1/16 power, the fill light below was the Westcott Rapid Box Strip with a Nikon SB700 at 1/32 power, the rim or side light was the Westcott Medium Apollo with a Voking VK430 at 1/32 power and the background light was a bare SB700 at 1/8 power. All flashes are in slave mode. The little piece of paper on the camera flash is to avoid getting that little pin light in the iris of the eye. I know the make a fancy little gadget for that but a piece of paper works just fine. The camera is the Nikon D610 with Nikkor 85mm f/1.8 @ f/5 1/200 ISO 100.
I am pleased to say that this image was chosen to be featured in an upcoming book of contemporary images of Montgomery, Alabama.
I’m going to be honest here…I’m not so sure about this 365 Selfie Project. I’m feeling like a bit of a narcissist and I’m truly not in love with my own reflection. LOL!! I’m thinking a landscape shot, a flower shot, some urbex stuff or just a photograph of someone other than me might be in my near future.
