167/365: 2015

#48 in my 100 x challenge - using my nifty fifty

Lunch today was fruit and yoghurt, as I cut the nectarine I thought it might make a good pic but then decided to put some more fruit with it. Not the first time I have taken a pic of fruit and yoghurt but this is a different take on it. Don't be too impressed at my healthy lunch, I did have some chocolate after!

Just like my Flickr mate Matt, I periodically get the urge to shoot waterfalls, and last night was one of those nights. Went to my favourite spot, and tried to isolate just a small part of the huge falls.

A "berry" happy American Father's Day to you all.

Picked up a foolish amount of berries at the farmer's market this morning. So. Be prepared for a lot of berry pictures in your future.

Pretty bad quality due to my bathroom lightning and not being able to get my standing lamps inside :P But I like that grainy feeling of destruction here ;P That thing on the wall is my ipod. Not sure where that idea came from... really lol I just felt like doing it and did it :D

Day 167 - 365/2023 - A Never-Ending Journey

-------------------------------------------------------------------

At the end of my PT session this morning, when the knee was being iced, I looked above at the ceiling lighting and thought,

"Hmm, I wonder if my old phone camera will pick up that texture and tone" since I could only get so close.

With his wisdom he humbles the enemy, with his humanity he draws the people near him, with his respect he recruits men of talent and character, with his integrity he makes good on his rewards, with his courage he raises the morale of his men, and with his dignity he unifies his command." Day 167

For my 365 project, FGR and Celebrating My Father.

My dad doesn't live close to me...he is two provinces over from me.

He was born in Holland during WWII and his parents brought him here after the war ended. I've always loved that I have Dutch heritage, and even got the chance to go there when I was a kid.

The top photo is him when he was little, in Holland, and the bottom picture, I like because he always likes to hear me play the piano.

Happy Father's Day!

Sorry d, I couldn't find a burkha or a chadri anywhere. So this old sari i got in Goa will have to do.

For the first time in...who knows...there is blue sky.

And...I don't want to alarm anyone...there is a big, yellow ball in the sky. Anyone with information on this phenomenon, please let me know.

Demolition soon to start on safe store Whitechapel make for new housing development Whitechapel Central

I've had such a good week, I really have. Catching up with a different friend every night, and out to lunch every day. I hate not being able to spend as much time as I'd like with my friends, and unfortunately some friendships have suffered along the way - but this week two very dear friendships have been reclaimed which makes me very, very happy.

I refuse to give into the rain that has poured all day long outside

and I make one of my favorite summer drinks. We grill a steak and give the dog a few of the trimmed off pieces because everyone should celebrate the coming of summer, right?

Only on days that it rains do I decide to wear cute flats. Grrrr. Sitting at Beanscene, drinking coffee and writing. Does it really get any better than this?
