Sometimes it’s easy to get carried away with our so-called accomplishments. We spend our lifetimes collecting achievements, earning praise and recognition, and seeking approval – so much so that we lose sight of what is truly meaningful.
If being peaceful and loving are your primary goals, then why not redefine your most meaningful accomplishments as being those that support and measure qualities such as kindness and happiness?
Rather than being consumed exclusively with external accomplishments, try putting more emphasis on what’s really important. When you redefine what it means to achieve a meaningful accomplishment, it helps you to stay on your path.

Macro Monday theme - stripes
I've been meaning to recreate, or do something similar to, a photo I did a couple of years ago (in comments). It was in fact my first ever Explored photo and it was also for a stripes theme.
I'm a bit late in the day but HMM everyone.
HSS- the little guys in the front row looked chilly so i gave them scarves and hats

Into the Light - Day 152 - Year 2022
---------------------------------------------------
A few shots of some sections of the backyard today. My husband did all the landscaping over the past 38 years we have been here.
Ok, hand over all your 365 Days ideas! Yes, all of them! Ok, how about two? One, maybe? Pretty please? Just one?
Please note that I do not condone the use of violence. Or guns. Or fingers pretending to be guns. Thanks for your co-operation and understanding...
For the 365 Days self-portrait project.
The mock-orange we prune every two years this year will prune in the autumn. We love the stunning display especially in the evening blowing in the wind quite unique for the courtyard.

20180601_0930_7D2-135 Sunlight on the cliff (152/365)
This is the cliff at a location called Peacocks Gallop with the houses on Clifton Hill above. Houses that were closer to the cliff were removed (of fell) after the February 22 2011 earthquake, and the area beneath has recently been finished with huge stone bunds (visible beneath the cliff at lower right) protecting Main Road which is the main entry/exit to the suburbs of Sumner, Scarborough and Taylor's Mistake. The road can't be seen doe to the land and trees on the Southshore Spit in the middle ground. The cliff has been stabilized as much as can be done.
For about five years a double row height of containers protected the road. In the foreground is the Estuary of the Avon and Heathcote Rivers (low tide) and it the estuary entrance is behind the trees (between the trees and the cliff).
The sun poked through a hole in the low cloud cover.

for the hereios who are visiting songs. Its a very rainy monday and i had an inordinate number of rain / monday songs lined up. But then as I was shooting through the window, the USS Enterprise materialised right in front of me. so I changed my mind.
for those of you not familiar with this classic hit by The Firm

(Enterprise picture also taken today - its off the box lid of a Revell model we have hanging about!)
Yesterday my daughters and I dyed some clothing. It is a very satisfying project if you have never tried it, you should give it a go. I forgot to wear my gloves when handling the wet fabric before laundering and now have orangish blueish colored hands.

It was windy, so I kinda just went with the flow. I think my dress totally blew upwards like 80% of the time. XD
Tomorrow's another Unsexy Wednesday, and I'm kinda stuck between two ideas. One of them is unbelievably unsexy, and the other shows some skinskinskin - an amount safe for work and my reputation, btw. What do you guys think I should do first?
This is a huge hummingbird (5 inches!) and it is usually only found in southeastern Arizona and parts of southwestern Texas.
Thanks all... I really had to crank-up the ISO on this one. It was a very overcast day and I had my teleconverter on too. Probably should have brought my flash!
For my ongoing bird-a-day project for 2017. Thanks All!
Gotta love the British summer.

Strobist: Me on the outside, expensive water sensitive stuff on the inside. Nikon SB700 balanced on plant pot on sill inside window, about 2 feet camera left. Radio triggered. There was a fleeting glimmer of sunshine and I didn't realise the rainbow was there until I downloaded the shots.
