Today was good,
p.e. was easy, we played tag :D
I got a haircut, nothing too drastic though, same as usual
And swimming was fun today too, I'm actually pumped for my swim meet on saturday!

Finally it is Friday and we have the whole weekend ahead to relax and have fun and best of all... not be at work!
So I joined this new Flickr group (August Alphabet Set) that involves using the different letters of the alphabet for every day in August. Today is the letter "A" which is perfect for me. "A" is for Ashlye :)

After a long weekend, I didn't have work for the next few days, so I decided to sleep in. Stayed home chill and relax. Not much but reviewed my photos this past weekend.

Intense busy day... this is the result. I am a squeezed dry sponge. :-(

Where I live is so rich in bloody history that I had only a vague awareness of the Battle of Gelt Bridge. In 1570 a local noble gathered together 3,000 'fierce Cumbrians' with the intention of joining the rebels who wanted to put Mary Queen of Scots on the throne, in place of Queen Elizabeth. They holed up in nearby Naworth Castle and Queen Liz sent a detachment to apprehend the noble, Leonard Dacre.
Discovering they were too well defended to flush out, the Queen's forces headed back to Carlisle for reinforcements. But sneaky Len followed them and attacked them here at Gelt Bridge. Obviously the royal forces were better prepared (possibly with the latest in welly technology), as despite being outnumbered they killed 300 Cumbrians and captured the same number, sending the remainder and Len fleeing for their lives.
I associate the place with peace but clearly that has not always been the case. The river was reported to have run red for days.
I am sorry just to be ploughing on and catching up and ignoring everybody else! If next week I can post a photo on the day I took it I would be delighted!!

Yeah that's me. Born to be wild. I think some of you might know that by now, but I like to take any opportunity that comes and live it up. Everyone should.
Someone else I think has this pose, but I cannot think of who, and I'm sorry but this was the best one out of about 10 ( I got tired of jumping).
Have the day off. It's beautiful. Woke up at about 10:15, drank my coffee and took a long walk. Oh how I love these days.

don't read too much into this one people...there is no story....I took my camera with me to the laundry room to fetch my clothes from the dryers becuase I had no idea what to take for the day...I look tired becuase I have a cold...and (more)pale because of the highkey processing...I'm not actually THIS pale
