“For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.” (Peter 2:21-25)

"He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

"LOVE:

We think about it, Sing about it, Dream about it && Loose sleep worrying about it.

When we don't know we have it, we search for it.

When we discover it, we don't know what to do with it.

When we have it, we fear loosing it.

It is the constant source of pleasure and pain.

we don't know which it will be from one moment to the next.

It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define && IMPOSSIBLE to live without.

My usual apologies for flooding you contact stream - but I wanted to upload pics from my walk around Seattle this morning. One of these will end up as Thursday's pic of the day - got to check with the girls when I get home about which one ...

So I like taking pictures of lane ways. And I like taking pictures of puddles... well, what's a bloke goin' to do?

I just finished 4 long days of work and I'm cranky and tired.

(rest of whiny diatribe deleted)

Taking photos whilst the tea is being prepared is a risky business especially with sharp knives about !! My subjects get moved and chopped before I'm done and then they are in the pan ready for the oven and the moment has gone lol !

Only 1 more get up and i can have a week off...I am shattered so am settling on this tomato for tonight and off to put my feet up.

Thanks for continued support with views, comments and faves all very much appreciated :)

Discussions in FSPASG brought up Polish tradition of Red carnations and Nylons as traditional gifts for International Woman's Day...

I should also say that the carnations were bought for Joel to speed his recovery...I must have had carnations subconsciously on the brain from reading the thread earlier in the week

Today I was waiting for my peeps to come home. While waiting for a return text from my sweetie, I was trying to learn how to lock the exposure on the window in the background and then throw a (video) light on me in the foreground. I had really wanted to try this method since I watched Robert Scott Lim on Creative Live. I added a VSCO film process to it. I really like the results. 365 days, day 143. Also Class with Dave(s).

I've been meaning/wanting to do a fairy tale series for a while. Perhaps this shall be the beginning of a continuous series, though it's more likely I'll do the rest of them sporadically, ha. And they won't all necessarily be the dark aspects of fairy tales, either, ha.

CWD Assignment:

Dark -- Last week we had LOVE. This week, we'll try to balance that out. Show us your best dark photography. Get a little morbid, perhaps. Get a little goth. Lets all get depressed together, shall we?

20190523_2703_1D3-59 Pier and Fog (143/365)

I woke this morning to a pea soup fog outside, so dressed in warm gear, grabbed a couple of cameras and a tripod and headed down to the pier. Three others had the same idea, but they were waiting for the sunrise, which we didn't see due to the fog.

I like the approaching wave about to break on the right.

Initial processing in Lightroom (basic adjustments and remove a couple of dirty sensor spots), and converted to black & white in Nik Silver Efex Pro.

A fellow photographer (possibly a tourist) photographs the sunrise sky at New Brighton Pier.

The stand with no light (fourth stand from left) is correct; it is a temperature/humidity measuring device, but many photos of the pier, including many used commercially have had a light head photoshopped onto it.

I'm in love with shooting through leaves/flowers/etc. It gives such a misty effect through the shot leaving only snippets in focus. It's like finding a new little world under the foliage.

hey guys!

had a pretty good day, actually.

applied for a job at zumiez, fingers crossed!

discovered my older brother's room has a nice unobstructed navy blue wall so i was messing around with a bunch of settings with it.

like the bottom picture: i hate using flashes whenever i shoot, but ive learned that if you go manual and tone down the flash it makes for a nice exposure.

by the way, hopefully this job works out but if it doesn't (and even if it does) i'll be selling prints of any pictures you would like. just lemme know which ones in a comment!

goodnight and God bless.

One of the Bolddog Lings motorcycle display team showing exactly how crazy you need to be to entertain lots of people at the Devon County Show... very! A good 30ft off the ground he decides that the bike is optional.

I feel nostalgic for a manual scoreboard like this because we are used to seeing electrical scoreboard now.

Flower displays, Chelsea, London, UK

The Chelsea Flower Show always attracts competition between the local shopkeepers to produce magnificent botanical designs. Above are close-ups from elaborate: lions, giraffes and elephants designs.

After seeing some pictures of tall grass fields on a friend's Snapchat story I instantly knew I wanted to get some photos of my own and promptly asked where the location was. Just over a week later, with a day off work and the sun shining brightly I decided that it would be a good idea to head over to Draethen for a little bit of landscape photography. I hope you enjoy the pic!

Apologies for the lack of uploafing the past couple of days, my Flickr only seemed to come back online today.

I took this shot as a backup shot for today. I was flying to Scotland and thought I might see something interesting to photograph at Heathrow. Luckily I had the backup as I did not find anything to photograph!

last day before spring break! <3

This storm was rapidly approaching from the south, but it unleashed most of it's fury further to the east with hail on the ground when I returned to New Brighton 40 minutes later.
