Into the Light - Day 138 - Year 2022
---------------------------------------------------
Happy Sliders Sunday everyone!
~Desiderius Erasmus quotes (Dutch Priest, Humanist and Editor of the New Testament, 1469-1536)
Let us reflect upon our present blessings - of which every man has many - not on our past misfortunes, of which all men have some. Have a blessed Palm Sunday!

Another photo of the Bohemian Hotel. This time taking in more of the lake and the town of Celebration. We decided to go for a walk around the lakes and finish up at the hotel for lunch, one last decent meal before the aeroplane food on our flight home.
The last day of an incredible month in North Wales, Anglesey and Llyn Peninsula. Today we visited National Trust - Plas yn Rhiw house & gardens to finally enjoying a good old paddle along the beach at Aberdaron.
Oil and Water - Abstract No.4
A very rainy day today - so spent the evening playing around with oil and water.
No time for unique or creative photos for the 365 project this week but instead of missing a day it's more cats and flowers. :) Besides, Q makes a great model. ;) Hope you are having a fabulous week!

I will do a picture on Saturday with all my make up & jewellery on ... the finished product (so to speak!)
I took this with my kit lens and 7 mm extension tube in natural light on my front porch. This is a clear glass marble sitting atop a purplish mirrored glass sheet with a yellowish stained glass sheet propped against the side.

A desperation diptych.
I took these in the 45 minutes I was home today - its now after midnight.
I'll catch you all tomorrow.
Thanks for the brilliant comments on Tiger you all managed to make me less grumpy.
night night x
Time for the annual visit to the local bluebell wood. The dog isn't feeling well after finding a lovely rubbish bag and offal left out by departing cottage guests. Great!
Back home from my Morocco trip, (well actually that was a week ago, as I'm getting caught up in my 365 postings) tired, and cranky, so what a better model to continue the 365 than Cooper.
I guess it's not immediately obvious how this one fits into my self imposed In Somebody's Garden theme!
It's actually a shot of the condensation on the window inside the lid of the cold frame I use for growing seeds!
Sorry for posting and running again, real life is taking me away from the important stuff at the moment! :)

I remember a movie called return to OZ, the second Wizzard of Oz movie. it had a lady with a room full of heads that she would change out. I just wish I had a room that I could of put picture frames up in then photoshoped a bunch of my heads in to make it look like I was about to change my head. But I didn't,. I also want to make a wheeler picture (they are from the same movie)
HSS... a little experimenting with christmas tree bokeh as an overlay, on a white ducky, in picmonkey.... hmmmm, i wonder if i could do one with only blue???........
interestingly, since i photographed the white (base) ducky on 10/22, all the pictures have that date even if i did the overlay tonight

today saw snowfall, rain, blue skies with sunshine, and then more rain. hooray for wacky late-winter oregon weather
Rained most of the morning but luckily stopped by the time I got round to walking the dog😊.
Today's panoramic with my iPhone is while walking the dog, a lovely view and sometimes nice to just sit on the bench and contemplate life!
Time to remember those that've served our country. Today I went to Forest Lawn to pay my respects at my dad's grave.
He was a veteran of WWII.
Pacman hungry - pacman wants cherry with his Bokeh!
I did two seperate shots today and merged those, because I wasn't getting the light fall-off I wanted when shooting wide open.

20190518_6086_7D2-70 Driftwood detail (138/365)
About 20 years ago when we lived closer to the beach than we do now I found a nice piece of driftwood, so got a wheelbarrow and took it home to feature in the garden. In 2004 we shifted about 1km (the other side of the Acon River) and shifted the piece of wood too, Then after the earthquakes we had to shift again and my piece of driftwood was into it's third garden.
This is a detail of some of the texture, the full piece can be seen in the next two pics in my photostream. It is about 900mm wide (at the base) x 750mm high
Meredith played the flute for several years when she was younger so we brought it out tonight for props. An instrument one of us can actually play!

Nothing special today this self portrait was inspired by a magazine cover shot of Clint Eastwood from the October 2012 issue of Esquire. I really liked everything about that shot so this is my take on it. I only wish I had a little more detail in my face, but I still like the shot. Day138/365 #project365 - Black Suit
#day138 #138of366 Rochester Cathedral at dawn. At 4:30am. Today was unusual in that I had taken my photo and been out for my daily exercise (cycling today) by 9:30am. This meant that I had got up at 4am to catch the Cathedral in this beautiful dawn light. I'm not very well coordinated at that time. But I think the light is worth it.
