It's a rainy day so I brought some dandelions inside and slapped my 14 mm extension tube on my 50 mm lens. I accidentally brought in a ladybug and tried to get a decent shot of her but she was too fast and now she has disappeared and I haven't been able to find her :/.

Ok, so I have some good news. Yesterday I landed a job as a freelance retoucher. I'll still be working at the BBC but I'll be doing this out of hours. Hurray! Good times, eh?
I showed them one of my best pieces, a picture I took when I was on the subway in New York. I loved it there and I took a lot of time over getting this picture to look it's very best. I just wish that tramp hadn't been in shot! At least it was a lovely sunny day.
The trick to photoshop is to be subtle. That's the professional touch.

136 :: 365 :: 16th May 2013
Shooting after the sun goes down leaves me no choice but have a play with light.
I plucked this from the pathway after collecting Maddy from school today, she was her usual self, giving me the look and asking me "are you serious mum?"...thought she'd be used to me doing this sort of thing by now, obviously not.
I had a family birthday lunch today. After the lunch, when adult conversation started to turn boring for a 8 yr old, I took my son out on a treasure hunt aka photo op ;- ) in search of some interesting things.
I found flowers, he found bugs!!! This was what he called a "Rolly Bug"...they turn into a ball when scared or threatened. This one obviously wasn't:-)

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.” - Audrey Hepburn
¼ second pan along the wave line, in the fog at New Brighton Beach.

The bee wants to know
Which way to go?
He is confused and lost
But then he thought
“Wait a minute…”
“Maybe I will spin it!”
“So I can win it!”
But he then realized
No matter what, it won’t materialize
Forcing something beyond his control
Will only create unhopeful heart and soul
What he needs is the company of a true friend
For his heart to totally mend…
Savor the wonderful scent of a blossom
And just let the pain come,
Though it may not be that awesome
A kiss from the morning sun
In no time, things again will all be fun!
I wrote this poem for a co-worker friend :) I thought about him (while having my lunch at the park) when I saw the bee suspended in mid air and seems lost. My friend shared some of his thoughts that morning and I just feel for him.
Explore Front Page! Thank you very much! :)
today was fun. i had some CRAZY dreams about my sister's wedding photographer. we did pick two that we like. huy phan from www.huyphan.com and Felippe from www.jadestudioproductions.com
BOTH are asian and BOTH are awesome. my sister has her first appt with Felippe Wednesday and she just had her first with Huy last week. Both are great photographers but PRICEY!
we are in the picking stage right now and I've convinced my sister that she does not need a $1200 album. seriously? that's the centerpiece and alcohol money!
planning a wedding is hard work, especially when you have 350 guests. sheesh. good thing im going to have a small wedding and a big party (oh yeah!) everyone awesome is invited. and everyone can bring their equipment! XD
come on i feel bad for my photographer, he/she is going to feel so intimidated when every other guest having a dslr at their table LOL i love it!
i wanted this awesome photo of me in pig tails and candy but it didnt come out how i like it, sooooooooooooo im going with this for my emulation challenge.
btw: pathdoc1701 totally killed me in flickr survivor island. my ass got pwned. but his shot was like WOW! OH EM GEE!!! that's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! trust me. wanna see what I lost to? THIS BABY! i've officially declared my lost before i posted bear's photo, im honored to lose to one awesome photog!
so lately i've sucked. i know this why? because my stream has been slow. that's why. if you dont produce awesome stuff, then no one is going to spend their precious flickr time commenting on it unless they love you <3
i love you guys<3 you're all invited to my boat wedding. yes that's right, im getting married in a damn boat! (well thats the plan for now ;D)
