I love this old tree with its gnarled and twisted branches. For more than 20 years, it has supported a swing for the kids. That use has probably come to an end, I'm afraid, as the branch from which the swing swings is now quite dead. If only I had the talent, I would write a poem about this tree.

I remember seeing this picture of Malcolm X and always said that I would try to recreate it for myself. Perhaps I'll wear my glasses a bit more often.
I have a B&W version as well, but I liked the color a little better.
Twisted Willow
Had a lovely walk around The Dingle at the Quarry in Shrewsbury today. Nice to see all the flowers in bloom. This lovely twisty willow caught my eye!
A Fox Squirrel munches on mushrooms in the backyard. Mode of eating? With fingers. Funny thing was, this squirrel seemed a lot more laid back than most other squirrels I encounter in our yard.
Posted for the "Flickr Friday" theme of 7/14/2023: MODE.
The dandelion at a different stage of it's development cycle.
Decided to go with a b&w this time and slightly warm tone.
Wow. If you enlarge this photo, you can not only see both my hands and my camera, but you can also see my car window and the trees on the street behind me through the window.
Here you can see two things I love: my camera and trees.
No post processing.
Natural sun light through the sun roof of my car.

I decided to try a little something different with my processing.. i only recently found out what channels are for in photoshop.. so i experimented and found out how to do this.. its not exactly what most of you have come to know as my "style" but.. that's ok because I'm fairly happy with how this turned out. Enjoy!!

Once again, I found it really hard to pick which one for 365 Days. And I didn't even upload a few others I liked!

119/365 -Around the house - Day 119

My son, his birthday, prefers not to have his picture taken.
Layered, Photoshop filters, toning
Went to my favorite monument/sculpture today. I like it so much it has its own album on my photostream.
I felt like I had a bundle of them in my hands.
Weird thing from today:
I have friends who are identical twins. Today, each told me that she had seen my doppelganger over the weekend - one at the mall, the other in Picnic at Hanging Rock (they're total cinephiles...) Anyway, this wasn't anything they had discussed beforehand, and they told me separately. Identical twins are so weird.
I know the mood is set up to be really dark, but I couldn't just NOT add a bit of absurdity to this. The parrot is just there for decoration. Haha. I love her very much, she's just so lazy when held.
I think the deciding factor for this was the line from my forearm leading right to the banana.
** I don't mean to offend anyone with this image.

Unity Fair at SCCC today. It was so much easier to breathe with speakers pounding through your chest. Now I gotta crank out a paper...
I hit over 4,000 views today.
It's still a big step for me. :]
On Day 119, it rained, then the sun came out, then it rained again . . . all through the evening and night.
This was shot in one of the brief moments when it stopped raining.
Today evening, the sky was awesome, fiery red/pinkish hues! Saturated red a bit more, desaturated yellow (from the building) to add emphasis n more drama!

Still under a family Covid lockdown, Day 5 of stuck on the property. Sat out in the autumn sun with a coffee, a book, some music and my camera waiting for the fantail to arrive. It did but was not very co-operative today and mainly stayed in the neighbour's trees - see next pic in my stream.
