I saw a picture of this in a magazine at the grocery store. It didn't necessarily say this, but I wonder why Washington, Jefferson, and Roosevelt have all turned their backs on Lincoln.
Hmm...
Into the Light - Day 117 - Year 2022
--------------------------------------------------
Early morning light coming into my room.
Already home. Doing well.
hello, all!
pretty brutal practice today, definitely in the 90's. drove home pretty quickly to dive in the pool. gah, that water felt good. this whole upcoming summer thing has got my mind racing. all i want to do right now is pack up the car with my board (and mary, of course) and just head east. i know it's not even june yet, so the swells are way far off..but i'll settle for knee high. i wouldn't mind just laying out on my board right out over the ocean. i want seagulls and sand kicked up with that nice wind right off the shore.
anyone else?
I purchased a roll of copper foil for crafting years ago and haven't done anything with it. Apparently I'm not too original in the foil idea but hopefully the silver/copper colors add a different twist to the idea.

I played around with RAW today! It killed my macbook as I tried to load them though...new computer time? :P
That'd be South Philly behind me.
Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas. My knee is now available if you'd like to come and whisper your Christmas wishes to me.
Brandy and mince pies will also be gratefully received. I'll be waiting in the grotto. I'll be wearing mostly red. ;-)

I was so excited because the brilliant night view of Tokyo looking down from 47th floor of Saint Luke's Tower is really lovely.

very good theme this week in my project 365 group, imitate a picture of the group pool! which should be quite easy, but as I choosed to dedicate each weekday a specific theme, this can get interesting. monday is my music day, so I searched the group for the tag music and liked this very much, showing a white vinyl record. I got four white vinyl, easy one! ;-D
Thank you for the inspiration and that good photo Javier.
Spent most of today TRYING to work out deflickering for the timelapse. Learnt a lot. Know what to try out for next time. Threw this one together last minute, been thinking about diong something like this for a bit. 2 flashes, giving only a rim light. Then lots of textures and layers to bring them out.
Strobist:
Nikon D700 + 50mm f1.8 @ f20, ISO 100, 1/250.

In the mornin' you go gunnin'
For the man who stole your water
And you fire till he is done in
But they catch you at the border
And the mourners are all singin'
As they drag you by your feet
But the hangman isn't hangin'
And they put you on the street, yeah
You go back Jack do it again
Wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back Jack do it again
When you know she's no high climber
Then you find your only friend
In a room with your two timer
And you're sure you're near the end
Then you love a little wild one
And she brings you only sorrow
All the time you know she's smilin'
You'll be on your knees tomorrow, yeah
You go back Jack do it again
Wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back Jack do it again
Now you swear and kick and beg us
That you're not a gamblin' man
Then you find you're back in Vegas
With a handle in your hand
Your black cards can make you money
So you hide them when you're able
In the land of milk and honey
You must put them on the table, yeah
You go back Jack do it again
Wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back Jack do it again

We didn't really do much today - Louis and I went and painted some mugs for my in laws birthdays coming up, while Jack did Knowledge stuff, then went round to the in laws for dinner. Luckily Louis didn't spill the present news :o)
Day 3 of no computer... zzzzz

# 27 for April 2015: A month in 30 pictures
His and hers lunch, he had the ciabatta, I had the fruit and yoghurt.
Life is a bit of a roller coaster at the moment...husband been in hospital, cat just gone in to vets on a drip (again) for 48 hours, wedding photos to edit and holiday to prepare for...apart from that nothing much going on here ;) Just a little insight as to why I am not being too good at catching up with your photos lately...sorry. May have to leave one word comments (if I manage it) or just hit the fave button for a while.

ODC - Side by Side (in a random sort of way)
I'm working two themes here in one shot. It's a stretch but I think it works.
I saw the Barenaked Ladies for the first time over 10 years ago at the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis. I've been back to their concerts three other times since. Give a listen to their first major hit and let me know your favorite song of theirs is.
Hubby was sick all weekend... no fun.
Really not looking forward to the week to come. It's going to be another stressful, can't get a break kind of weeks. I can feel it. Jeeze... that's an awful thing for me to say... isn't it?

We headed out in between storms today to get a few fence shots. Just another day of country life here. We're just glad it's raining instead of snowing!
